Mr. YamamotoSan, Looks like everyone had a great time. Thanks for the pics, It was almost like being there! You know, no matter how many BUELL stickers you put on that 'bago, it'll NEVER turn into one. Miss you guys, wish I had been there! |

yeah, well, at least i was showing the colors. during the fan lap we had the stickers shown above, an American flag flying off the back, an American flag sewn on the front of my shirt, and Denise had on her new red/white/blue bikini. i just KNOW we helped Nicky and Colin take first and second place!!! maybe plan on NEXT year, my friend? we'd be honored to have you join us. I see an October calender that does not show the dates for Oktoberfast... That Grey bike you took solo shots of on the track, was that the Motocyz or how ever you spell it? |

Oktoberfast 2005: Fri Sep 30, Sat/Sun/Mon Oct 1-3. yeah, was the MotoCzyz, sounded EXCELLENT! did two laps, one slow, one faster. missed a great photo up of it at Bubba Gumps on Sat night. we were up the street having dinner when apparently it was unloaded from a trailer, wheeled up onto the patio at BG's and fired up. dammit! |

Jerry...Your photo essay is fantastic and brings back a lot of great memories. I imagine you have been asked this before, but what camera and software are you using? Your pics are really great. Thanks, Bill |

ah yes, Carey, the Glenn pic that will NOT go away!!! we kept a pretty tight leash on the Unibear this trip - believe it or not, he never got lost, nor did he lose his wallet! the closest thing i've got to him letting his hair down is this shot after our ritual nightly visit to Cool Cat Cigars down on Cannery Row: i didn't go into the weekend a cigar smoker, and not sure i technically qualify yet, but we knocked down several while we were there, and i've got one sitting here next to the computer that i think i'll fire up after work tonight. |

Bill, thanks! it has become part of the fun of riding somewhere to try to save some flavor of the ride via the camera. some of the pix in this thread i'm VERY proud of, most are honestly mediocre (or worse) at best, but they all tell a part of the story. the camera is a lowly little 2.1 MP Nikon, and i shoot in a much lower resolution than that. the camera has an onboard image size reduction program, which is what i finally use to get the pix down to about 60 KB so that i can hang the pix here on BADWEB. i'm not using any "enhancing" software whatsoever - what comes out of the camera is what i get. thanks again. Jerry...Thanks for the info. I was expecting some Star Wars Digital SLR or something like that. That still must be a special little camera you have there and I will check it out and compare with mine. At this point, I am almost embarrassed to say which one I own as my 35mm work far outshines my digital abilities. On the humorous side, the computer I am used to viewing your pics on crashed big time and I ended up getting a new one this week. Might just be the new computer or at least a clean screen. Looks like the joke is on me. Have a great day! Bill |

it's a Nikon Coolpix 2100. not big on megapixels, but Nikon's optics have always been top drawer. ONE of these days i'll own something more along the lines of a "prosumer" digital (i miss shooting with my matching black-bodied Olympus 35-mm's) (but i DON'T miss hassling with film -- how LAST century!), but in the meantime this camera is small enough to fit in a pocket, meaning it's always close enough to grab a fleeting photo. wish it had a longer lens, i'm envious of EBear's pix from Laguna, in part because he could get in so close to his subject matter, even if it was 200 feet away.
