Buell is thought of as making up 3% of HD's profits, which makes us 3%ers |

Hooligans is what we are!!!! Just ask anyone in the 3% Bragging Rights Club, we will tell you. Wycked had it right, Buell is supposed to make up 3% of HD's Sales/profit so...that is how our club got its name. |

Back in the day the AMA released a press statement that 99% of all motorcyclists are decent people. The outlaw Motorcycle Clubs of the day turned the statement around and adopted the term 1%er to represent the true, hardcore riders. And as far as I am concerned the 3% of sales that Buell represents of Harley represents the true, hardcore riders. |

I try real hard to NOT wear logos. I have no desire to be a walking advertisement for anyone or anything. But on the other hand... I would proudly wear a BadWeb t-shirt or a BadWeb patch on my jacket. |

I don't like being a billboard either, but I'm proud to wear my buell shirts, and would like to have a badweb one or two to add to my collection. |

I'm starting to stock up on Buell shirts. Hard to find. Fun to wear. Get lot's of weird looks and questions about what Buell is. |

Yeah...I smacked my neighbor yesterday...he came over while I was putting the pro series exhaust on a friend's Blast...both doors were open and you could see my 12R. He asked "Aren't Buells made by BMW?" After laughing madly at what I thought was his attempt at a joke, I corrected him. It's amazing how many people just don't know...then again, we don't have a dealer in the state, and the closest one is about 150 miles away. If I guess correctly, I'd be surprised to find more then a dozen Buells in the state of Vermont. |

I used to be adamant about never wearing any kind of logo. I'd actually cut the Nike swoosh and Newbalance NB logos off my running shoes because I didn't want to be running billboard for a company that wasn't giving me a sponsorship. I would never, ever wear a t-shirt with any kind of brand name on it..., until I got my Buell. I have an entire closet full of Buell t-shirts, sling bags (both kinds), a Buell Swiss Army knife and even my Vanson leather jacket has the Buell logo on it. But, disturbingly, I also find myself with large collection of Harley shirts. It's kind of novelty for me to wear them - I never would have before. |

Well, being Buell IS owned by Harley, I have little trouble wearing HD dealer shirts or HD shirts so long as they have the Buell logo on them and the dealer supports Buell. Course, the rain gear I just bought only has the HD logo on them. But then, I've heard nothing but good things about HD rain gear. Jacket is the same as my dads (Color too.) Can't wait to test them. About 4 years ago I had a Blast and visited this board for info. The common handsign was the middle finger and we called ourselves "Hooligans". I get a CityX and come back to this great board, and I find that we are now 3%ers, and have adopted a new handsign (btw, what is the new name of it, or are we using the originals...). I love it! I am down for 3%er stuff! (We do need a new smiley ) (Message edited by BikerTrash05 on July 13, 2005) |

I am proud to wear my H-D and Buell shirts, but try to avoid buying ones with the dealer name on it.... I will generally scour the sales rack when shopping for shirts/ apparel... One of my reasons for this is the INSANE mark-up at MOST Dealerships.... But I will support dealers that I find to have good customer service! (Message edited by Paint shaker on July 13, 2005) |
