A few weeks ago someone posted a link to a spacer plate for a Forcewinder. It threaded into the head and had internal ports that went thru the tubes, no need for a catch can or hoses. The carb or TB would just ingest it. Anyone help out there?! TIA! | ||

yeah- i've got some help for ya: the best possible spacer plate for a forcewinder is about 3 miles of real estate and a nice bueel racekit airbox. leave the snorkels for the 'banana splits' set, there, snorkey! | ||

He might not have a choice. I am 6'3" and the buell race kit intake whacks my kneecap. (I tried sitting on someone else's bike) I still don't like the appearance of the $300 aluminum macaroni but it does work. By the way, my forcewinder kit's instructions were a joke. They said to remove and discard the steel throttlebody support! Yeah, good idea. I am running banjo fittings for a breather. Drip that crap on the street, not my foot! | ||

Nate, I agree, I had a pie plate from joker and was always smacking my knee, bruising up and everything, got the force and it's all good now. From the looks of it you just mount it like the stocker and run a house from the breather bolts onto the ground, into your exhaust, into a catch can, etc... lots of info in the KV, I put a spacer between the mounting plate and the snorkel but that just gave me a little space for the bolts, if you need one of those I have a few laying around let me know. | ||

Since I put the S1W back on the street one of my first modifications was to junk that ugly ham can Race Kit filter. Yes I know it is proven to work well (see the KV and Battle2Win) but so is\does the Forcewinder. I went with the Force. I run the Mikuni HSR42 using the rubber type spacer then the stock S1W mounting plate held in place with the stock breather type bolts. Breather hoses are 'T'd together and routed to a filter elsewhere. THe Force screws right up to the Mikuni with the three allen screws provided. It does not require any additional mounting hardware and does not work itself loose and yes the Mikuni is a very tight fit between the cylinders so it's important to DO THE JOB PROPERLY!! To do that pay very close attention to the washers and clearance needed to screw down the breather type bolts that hold the mounting plate. Rocket |
