Flat black spraypaint, a right-side scoop and a few little extras from Al (integrated tail light, LSL damper, sliders) have made me (and my bike) very very happy. The cooling fan almost never comes on after a highway ride now, and with the race kit in it, this bike tears up tight twisties like nothing I've ever experienced. Oh, and I can't go anywhere without non-stop comments ... people have almost run me off the road trying to give me a thumbs up! After 15 years of riding on all different kinds of bikes (2-stroke cafe racers, a homemade yz motard thing, and an ironhead harley chopper) I finally found a bike I simply love to ride. Luckily I wear a full-face helmet cause I must look like an idiot smiling all the time (damn I love this bike!) ps. I saw someone on a red xb in Warwick NY early morning on July 4th. I was going the opposite direction, riding with a guy on a green ninja. Was that anyone on this board? |

Dood! I like it! Evil black with tasteful unshiny metal gives me wood every time. You are the first guy to make the Villian wheels look like they belong, IMHO. |

The more that I check out other people's bikes on this site the less that I want to spend the time to polish everything like I had planned on doing when I bought my bike. I think I'm probably going to go flat black on all the metal and maybe a dark red on the plastics of my 12R. Sweet looking bike man! |

My "R" is flat black also (except I just sanded the plastic down "just right" ). I've still got the amber wheels combined with the gold CRG levers. |

Ok, no one else can go all black. What happens when everyone gets together? It'll be chaos, "Is that my bike? What about that one? Nope, key doesn't fit, damn." Nice bikes guys, I do love black. |

I also have a 9r with black 12r plastic. I replaced the amber lettering with black chrome lettering, added frame pucks and a Buell black windscreen. |

monorad: the bike looks badass! love the flat-black and 'chopped' front fender. looks like some kinda madmax dirt-tracker. there's only one color in my book too... BLACK. next on the list is to ditch the gold accents, black wrapped headers and a right-side scoop.
