Reminds me of a cartoon I saw soon after 9/11 which I wish I cut out and kept.

Caption Read:
Cup of tea - $1.50
British Sports car - $60,000
A dedicated friend - PRICELESS

The picture was of Uncle Sam standing next to a character in a bowler hat with a Union Jack armband, finger upraised exclaiming "THIS MEANS WAR!"

Many thanks for your kind thoughts at this darkest of times. 33 have fallen so far and there are hundreds injured, London is a virtual no-go zone.

We have much in common apart from bikes.

Funny how it was not just a bit over 200 years ago that were were fighting and killing one another. How times help heal and change people.

We are thinking of all the folks in the U.K.

We pray for those injured and those who have lost their lives. Their families and friends remain in our thoughts.

I descended from your homeland and my family history is over there with you. When the terrorists are caught they will pay for their sins. One way or another.

Well, I don't think either side of my family descended from your homeland, but I'm speaking your language and living in one of your ex-colonies. My heart goes out to you, Brittania.

Thanks guys.

It is a terribly sad day for London, the UK and the world. People in London are pretty tough though and have endured years of terrorist bombings before this. Hopefully they will pick themselves up pretty quickly and not let the terrorists win.
The transport system is completely F****d up at the moment with no buses, tubes or trains running in central London. There are tube trains still in the tunnels where the bombs exploded so probably won't be clear any time soon either.

Please don't cancel plans to travel to the UK if you have any, We are a very safe country.

I was quite impressed with the English people I saw on TV this morning. You can tell they are a tough bunch. Even the injured people were not freaking out.

God Bless you all as you put things back together.

Trojan,

I am planning a trip to London in October and these terrorist attacks will not change my plans! I can't wait to see London again. I was there back in 1988 and it's a great city!

The IRA tried, and failed, to bomb us into submission for thirty years , we will continue to be unimpressed by the efforts of a few towelheads and we won't let it affect our daily lives.

...interesting.... the result when a nation of free people are attacked like this. Instead of the terrorists attaining the desired result of fear, submission, and cowering...a great nation of free people rise to the occasion to kick @ss and take names!

Don't know quite what to write, other than my thoughts and wishes for strength are with the victims, their families and the British people.

Having experienced a much too similar senseless act of violence here in NYC I know what the people in London are going through right now. There will be scars, but you will make it through it stronger than before.

Right on Glitch,

You have allot of friends when you are up, but your true friends are the ones who are still around when you're down. Britain stood by us when we needed them, and be sure that we will stand by them. When my family was in Europe, London was our favorite place. Above the beauty of the city, the people were the best I've met.

God bless the families, the injured and may he take the innocent into his arms.

The American Pitbull will stand shoulder to shoulder with the British Bulldog as long as I am alive. I know damn well the Brits won't wimp out like the Spanish did. We are with you England, 100% all the way.
