I had a pleasant surprise when I received my "S&S" 555 cam. It was actually an Andrews with an S&S part number on the label. Now, the best part is that it's roughly $100 less than the Andrews retail. So if you're looking for an N/V6 or N/V9 Andrews cam S&S is the place to get it. |

that's some good info, thanks. it makes you wonder, how many other manufacturers are private labeling others parts. in the industry i work in this is common practice for all sorts of equipment and parts. i wonder if the screaming eagle cams are andrews, i would'nt be surprised. |

I know Andrews makes some of them...the bolt ins for sure...I'm not sure if they do all. |

why did you go with that particular lift, and not the 536 say? was it the cost? i was on the fence about my future cam plans and i finally settled on se536 when just the other day a friend of mine strongly suggested the 555s, he's not a bike mechanic but he is a knowledgeable eurosport car mechanic. |

Well, the two choices were .536's or the '04 up bolt in cam. One had close to the duration I was looking for...the other the lift I wanted...the N9's had both. I'm running 10.5:1 CR on pump gas so the later closing intake will help reduce detonation. It has a smaller base circle so cam box clearances were no problem, and I needed adjustable pushrods anyway so S&S travel limiters went in a new set of stock lifters to keep costs down some. It just worked out to my plan. I only cleaned these heads up a little...when the next top end job comes I can really flow 'em...and this cam will do even better when that time comes. I was also looking at the N80 but that required a lot of extra effort and money...as well as not being as streetable. It'd be my choice for a race-only bike, though.
