I designed the piece that was being sold on Ebay, it is a friend of mine who is producing them. |

Forgive me if I am wrong but a lot of the pieces on Ebay have a pic of a stainless guard but the text says that you will get a belt guard that is not as shown and is painted. I want shiny stainless ones to go with my sprocket cover! Den 99X1 |

These are some guards I made out of some perforated steel I had. Simple, functional, stops passengers getting their foot stuck in the belt Turned out to be easier to make than I thought - I used the original plastic hugger and lower guard as templates, cut them out with a jigsaw, cleaned up with a file. Both guards have a small strip riveted to them to stiffen them slightly. Bent to shape, painted them silver, job done! They're probably not to everyone's taste, but they work for me cheers, lemonchili

Thang -- thank you kindly -- while I may be approaching that area, I am no engineer, as evidence by the fact that the guard pictured above is the thrid I've made, in ever-increasing guages of aluminum, due to vibration-induced stress fractured in the first two ;-} if I'd only paid attention in math classes in school, stead of smokin in the boys room -- sigh interesting side note on makin stuff yerself -- back when I was makin a dozen or so knives a year, I was bemoaning my lack of pro-level equiment, and how wonderful my knives would be if only I had a zoomy $2G belt-grinder, ,the knife-weilding population would beat a path to my door that chirstmas, my mom-in-law received a book on metalworking artists around the world -- the picture of the guy engraving a beautiful silver platter, using his feet as a vice, a nail as his graver, and a rock as his hammer, well and truely shut me up no, I ask for a really HIGH-QUALITY nail for christmas |
