None of our locals are involved with the fires correct? None of our homes or cabins and such are in any danger currently I hope. I know Smokedady has a cabin somewhere up in the mountains and there is someone who lives over in the Cavecreek area...just wanting to give a shout out of good thoughts and everyones safety! | ||

Seems like it was last week! They threw that house up! Good thing is, it's well insulated. I only have the thermostat set at 77 and get cold in the house. Maybe it's just cuz the AC is new??? I ain't complainin' though... Man I'm tired. I have too much crap! I was supposed to take 15 days leave and do a nice leisurely move. Instead, my leave got nixed, manning shortage, and I had to move all my crap in a day and a half! Good thing young Marines will work hard for pizza and beer!!! LOL! | ||

I was at Pavillions last night and saw quite a few Buells. My S2 is down right now because of a gas leak from the hose off the carb or else I would've but took the mustang cobra instead. I think I saw Bart. Reconized him from the pics but didn't know anyone else so I just kinda walked by. | ||

I rode with the wife up to the Pavillions last night also. I heard from Steve and Andrew at Chandler HD/B about it. I was surprised to see there was a M2, X1, Steve's XB12R and my City. More Buells than I've seen at once outside of the dealership! Anyone hear anything about Jeremy..I hear he took a fall. | ||

Auction? I am not doing any auctions? I have some parts for sale in the Classifieds... Timeline, the bike will be ready before me. AFAIK I am still 2-6 months out from being released to ride, and that includes just running to the store. The doc is not confident with the vibration aspect and the amount of hardware and the fresh bone graft all agreeing to play nice with each other. | ||

I wasn't going to be able to ride but got some free time at the last minute so I took Rachel all the way to Baghdad then to Congress and back here through the Spars. She must enjoy riding... Five hours on the back of an XBR and not one little complaint... | ||

Don, I had to leave early this morning to fix something at my son's apt and was going to my company picnic, but never made it. It was nice though to play in your playground every morning. Not much traffic at all this weekend. Saw DPS coming up the hill in Yarnell at 9:30 this morning just as I was coming off the last turn at about 85. Not much bike traffic up there this weekend either. See ya next weekend? I'm doing skull valley around lunch time on Sat with a couple Harley's, but will probably go play early each morning again. | ||

Hey 97s1, it never hurts to walk up and introduce yourself, its an easy way to meet each other in real life. I myself have had several of our lurkers walk up to me and introduce themselves simply because they knew my bike when they saw it. We are pretty much very approachable people in that aspect. | ||

I saw that XB9S up here again... Jardine and the CF airbox cover with the two vents from Ebay... It looks as if they cut the upper airbox open as well but there was only a stock filter in there. Don't know if they had the 12 lid or not... I'll catch them ASAP and direct them here  . It was in the Sears parking lot parked like it was owned by an employee... | ||

Hey everybody! I'm alright. took a dive at Tortilla Flat, Sunday before last. I was wearing all my leathers, Not a scratch on me. My insurance is going to reimburse me for the damaged gear, boots, jacket, gloves and pants, thats about 1200.00 in gear  !! I really wasn't going that fast , rear tire lost traction right as I was getting set up for a corner. I had to make a decision asphalt or dirt. I chose dirt and as soon as I hit the dirt, threw the bars to the left pushed the bike in front of me, the bike slid to a stop on a slight decline and i did a textbook head slide right next to it. Nobody was around so I gathered my thoughts made the bike rideable and limped home. Anything on the right side of the bike was damaged, even the frame, and yes I did have frame pucks. All in all 7900.00 in damage I'm pretty sure it will be totaled . Chandler HD is going to make me a good deal on a 05 R, if they decide to total it. Later J  | ||

J, basically the top triple and all the front pieces. I have to convert back to stock because I have to run bars that won't put any weight on my right elbow for awhile...Its been really frustrating and its why I have alot of parts in the classifieds, cahs is just at a premium. I picked up a parts bike to put mine back to the way I had it, only to fidn out afterwards that I am just not healing right to be back like I was. | ||

J, Tortilla Flats is off limits for you for awhile. After my ride with you and now this, maybe you should ride in Prescott with me and Don for awhile. Really though, I'm glad to hear your OK. Wycked, Relax and heal up right so you can ride again for the long term. Hey it took me 25 years to get back on a bike after having 12 in my first childhood. I fell of the dirt bike twice last weekend but am much better at falling in the dirt in my old age than I was way back then. These new dirt bikes just go where you throw them and you just pick them up and go (as long as your not going TOO fast). I'll be up in Prescott Fri to Tues if anyone wants to ride. Just let Don know, he has my number. | ||

They decided to total the bike  Now i just need to come up with the deductible and i'll be riding again. Thank you everybody for all your thoughts. I'm having the bike trailered back to my house so i can remove the parts I want. I'll post some pics in the next couple of days. Later J | ||
