Ok so I'm a new guy here, I'm now as of saturday the 26th in the aftrenoon the owner of a "00" Buell X1 Millenium. This is my second Buell Motorcycle, new to me, old to someone else. My first was a "97" M2 Clone. I bought it new and had it for 7 / 8 years or so. Last month 5/12/05 at 4:30 pm I tossed it down the road, turned into an inferno, big firey wreck, bike was totaled/melted. Thats why I had to get Buell #2, other wise I would still have #1. My questin is for the X1 since I know nothing of them. Good things/Bad things? Do's/Dont's? Thoughts? Tips? Helpful info? Comments? I do not plan any mods, its got the race ecm, Force intake, Supertrapp tuneable exaust, stearing dampner, Penske rear shock, jiz can, plenty CF accents. See I'm jester gona ride the 205's off of it, most every thing else has already been done. Thanks Danny H |

Danny, Welcome to Bad Web! Congrats on the "new" X1. It sounds like the previous owner(s) have everything pretty sorted out. Couple of things ot keep an eye on. One is the primary chain tensioner. The original ones break. The new one is much beefier. About a $20 part. Very easy fix. Second is the oil pump gear. Check the KV section of for complete details. Other than the normal maintenance stuff outlined in the service manual (you DO have one right?), you shoudl be good to go! Brad |

Excellent info on the X1 - the "X1 Files" http://www.saintjohn.nbcc.nb.ca/Marriott/x1/ Good general information to read. Spend some time and save yourself some "lessons learned" |

Scooter has done a good job of keeping up with the maintenance on that bike. It ran pretty good when I rode it a couple years ago. Leave it the way it is & just beat on it. |
