I can grow an impressive mullet. One can only hope that one day society will accept the mullet once again. Way back when, we called it a Shag. Those were the days. |

aluminum That was before aluminum neck guitars. That's steel my man. Heavy man, heavy! I could only play for about a half an hour before I had to either change guitars or sit down. |

Never heard of a steel neck one; the aluminum ones were bad enough. All you ever wanted to know about Kramer can be found here: http://www.vintagekramer.com/alum.htm My first bass was a Kramer "Duke" headless type. We played an outside gig in the fall once. The neck shortened as temp dropped and bass constantly went out of tune. My right hand (I'm a lefty) absolutely froze as the night went on from gripping that cold neck. Otherwise, it was a pretty cool bass. |

Maybe it was aluminum. I do know it was VERY heavy, that's why I thought it was steel. Once when we were playing Blues Harbor, I let go with my left hand for just a second. The head went straight to the floor, broke my G string, it popped and stuck right into Randy's strat body. I played my BC Rich for the rest of the night and Randy played his strat with a bass G sting bouncing everywhere. We had to use pliers to pull it out. |

I must have had one of the mystery basses. It kinda looked like this one... Mine was maple, finished not painted. If I have a better picture I'll post it tonight. |

The Kramer was cool, way cool. I also had a BC Rich Warlock. I weighed next to nothing. I could play it all night.

Glitch, man that's pretty wild about the guitar getting impaled with a broken bass string. I never realized bass playing could be so hazardous. The best thing about my Kramer Duke was it was practically indestructible. Our lead singer accidentally kicked it off the stand one light during a break; it would have probably snapped the headstock off on a conventional bass but it didn't phase the Kramer. Do you still play any? |

I never realized bass playing could be so hazardous. After you get to know me a little better, you'll come to realize anything I do can turn out to be hazardous. Do you still play any? Unfortunately I have neuronoma (sp?) and have lost the feeling in half of my left arm down to my little finger, I still have most of the motor functions, but it keeps me from playing |

Clown the laptop has been cleaned. There's one that wouldn't let me kill it, so I disabled it. At boot up the computer complains about not being able to find it, but just click OK, it's all good. |

SB, I'm sorry. I rode to work today and that is why it looks like rain. So far I have ridden to work 27 days in a row. I haven't been in my cage in so long I forgot why the hell I drove one in the first place. Hope it doesn't rain. I don't want a repeat of Tuesday. You all have fun and be safe. |
