Just got word Buell is now officially out of the old body parts business. Anyone want to buy an '91 RS? Great shape, new suspension, brakes, tires, chain, only needs a tank. (Message edited by josh_ on June 15, 2005) |

Buell or EFB Designs? Buell Motorcycle Company never supported the pre H-D bikes, it was always EFB Designs since H-D's involvement. AirTECH has an alternative: http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/amerz/bsr1200.htm 1313 |

Parts they have, bodywork they no longer handle. Ought to go through the parts book and look for things that look rare/unique to stockpile... |

Does anybody here have any direct experience with the airtech stuff? Eventually thinking of some of their S2 bodywork, but replies would probably help the RS/RSS owners as well. Thanks. |

Where's FiremanJim to rant when we need him I've verified my local guy will take a crack at it (he builds custom million dollar boat$) and when I get the tank back from the factory I'll get an estimate. My local shop still has their AHDRA ProStock bike with RS bodywork on it... hmmmm |

Josh, Maybe you can call Ukes up in WI and see if they would be willing to part with the RSS bodywork they have hanging on the wall? |

I thought someone said that was RR stuff? I wonder what mods I'd need to do to get the tail on. I know the frame sections were not the same (RS/RSS). |

No its a 92 RSS bodywork set complete with fuel tank. I'm not sure if it has all the parts or not but it never hurts to ask. Are you sure the frame sections aren't the same? |

I just looked at both the RS and RSS and except for the passenger peg mounts I am pretty sure the tail frame section is identical. BTW, when you do get your RS back on the road i have a brand new set of Gambler brake pads for you. |

Nah,I ranted enough about the poor customer service I got from them--even got a nasty e-mail from old Kent Riches himself. And at one time I thought they had some sort of dispute with Buell over that bodywork. As much as I see the S-2 stuff for sale I would never buy from those guys. |

What did you decide on the S2 over here? I was looking at the footage I shot at Deal's Gap back in .. 02? at the BRAG event and that S2 is in it. |

Josh hate to say it but you would have to speak to Keith the owner. That body work is a display in the dealership along side of old RR's, S1's, and only for the public viewing.I doubt he would sell it. |

Not trying to hijack the thread, but I've been dreaming of a tail for my S2 that would match up to the stock S2 tank cover at the front but have a solo back end like a RSS tail. Sweet! |

Steve what is Tim gonna do???Keith would have to make that call.Thats why I told Josh if he wanted to give it a try ask for him the owner. But like I said its a display and it was sent to Uke's in that way for that intended reason.Very unlikely Keith would separate with it.Trust me. |

I must be missing something - why is it that you see so many bikes for sale with the "must sell - getting married" line? I think that they ought to re issue the old dowry system and make it a rule that the wife has to supply at least her own bike, or the bike of the grooms choice, to the marriage! I'm sure that there are perfectly legit reasons for the sale of one's motorcycle pre wedding, but if it's because the soon-to-be doesn't like bikes (3 d's - I'm just giving my 2 cents and am NOT implying this is the case for your sale!) the relationship is starting with a basic incompatability that dooms it from the start! (IMHO) AL ps Josh - photos coming in a couple more days |

My fiancee Susann loves to ride as much as I do in fact we both "rode" (no trailer)from Kansas City Mo to Sturgis SD in 2000. Anyone who owns one of these can tell you it was interesting. We Iced are kidneys and I my nuts nightly. It did great but I have to reluctently sell to afford the honeymoon to St. Thomas. We are getting married on the beach. Anyway your collective help would be wonderful if you should know anyone looking for one of these brutes. Deuce. |

It's too bad I actually enjoy being married. If I didn't, your RS would be headed for Green Bay. Oh well, there's always room in my dream garage |

your honeymoon to St Thomas will be over with and gone in a few days. that Buell will be with your forever if you don't sell it. Is hanging out on a beach for a few days really that important? |
