Do we know anyone with a white tuber? Hey Larry and Hansas bros, I've got new rotors and tires coming in. Do you guys have both stands so I can take the rims into Central? And have you watched the Israel DVD yet? I want to show it to a friend. |

zhdman - Since I have to "hang" in the area for a couple of hours before my Power Squadron meeting, I'll probably go to Central and poke about. Maybe check out the prices and such..... [EDIT] - the gods were against me. They brought me someone else's problem literally as I was walking out the door. (Message edited by dustyjacket on June 15, 2005) |

Rob, Yeah we've got one stand, which was enough for me to do both my tires. I just used 2 jackstands on the front and the swingarm stand on the...swingarm. Let us know if you need it. I believe it's in Larry's garage at the moment... |

Rob, I did finally get a chance to watch it...I will leave it with Duff as we are leaving Thursday. Duff, believe it or not the helmet hanger is back in your garage. |

Frank & I lowered to front of my M2 today. It's kinda weird to ride now. I think it's about 1"-1-1/2" lower in the front now. I'm still waiting for the front bracket for the new rear shock, from Topeka. Then I'll have a 1999 M2L, except I still have a taller seat. |

Larry there s a dude in the classified section call Gundog who has a wind screen and a dash for an X1 for sale for $60 dollar. Then you could install a tach on your M2. Did anybody see the posting on North Carolina thread? Some guy going by the name 1313 just passed 100,000 mile marker on an S2. That pretty cool! I hope to roll pass 20,000 on my M2, before the year's up, that's only if the kids and my wif don't stop me first. I bought in January with just under 15,000 on it. And know it has 17,500. Hey Zeus, I've been reading horror stories about getting the five front rotor bolts out. No one has been able to remove them without a torch, welder, or drill. I have no torch or welding equipment, and I doubt my 12v cordless drill will do any good. Would it be possible for you or Frank to remove it when I bring my rims in to get the new tires mounted? Also, my oil light stopped flickering. I wonder whats going on in there? (Message edited by cereal on June 20, 2005) |

Hey Rob I have a 95 S2 and I was able to get the bolts out without heat or drilling, I was careful and made sure I had the right size wrench and that it was fully seated in the bolt struck it with a hammer a couple of times to jar it and they all broke loose fine. |

I just tried it and twisted the adapter in half. If Frank will remove the old and install the new for 10 bones, he's welcome to it! |

We made it home..only 2 small probs, I tore my tire up in Yellowstone Saturday, and got a new one on Sunday, then Monday morning the rear wheel bearing went out, luckily we met an old Hells Angel that came to our rescue and had the bike going that afternoon...Then we did the ol' iron butt run leavin Montana Thursday 12 noon and rode until 8 am Friday (16 of the 20 hours in the rain), took a 4 hour nap and did another 7 1/2 hours to home....Boy does my ars hurt. More later too tired to type... Larry |

All I can say about our trip was that the XB's ran awesome and had not problems, the tuber on the other hand had a few hickups but they could have happened to anyone. Red the HA we met was hillarious, very scenic trip, had a black bear run across the road in front of us, did I say very scenic trip, feels like I went through a few rounds with Bubba, did a little over 3500 miles in 8 days, 1400 miles in a day and a half with 4 hours (which was supposed to be 2 hours) of sleep, never came close to running out of gas, if anyone is every in Gilette WY stop by the H-D/Buell shop the owner is very nice and has 3 or 4 Buells of his own, The H-D shop in Great Falls, MT is also friendly shop for Buells to stop into, the H-D shop in Butte, MT was a good one also and it wasn't even a Buell dealer (If you stop in here there is some nice eye candy named Sarah, very friendly), the only shop that sucked was the one in Kalispell, MT (which happens to also be a Buell dealer). I need some sleep so talk with everyone later. |

Well guys I had a fun time. The ride home did start to suck after about the 20th hour of riding. We hit Iowa and the heat and humidity really made the ride home suck. I think there was even a point where I wanted to walk home instead of saddling up on my ball cooking XB. Other than the last 500 miles I had the best time of my life on a motorcycle. I sure learned a lot from this trip, about myself, my bike, and what can be done on a sportbike. To all who think long hard rides are out of the question on these bikes, I say BULL$HIT!!!!!!!! Oh yeah I'm thinking of putting together an Iron Butt day in the future. |

Not to change the subject, but today was a good day and I haven't ridden anywhere yet. My wife got me to take her to motorcyclecloseouts.com and we spent a bundle on her riding gear, then she came home and put it all on and demanded I take her photo: http://www.dustyjacket.com/mc/mary.jpg and she wants to do a 2-up tomorrow. She is STOKED for her upcoming Riders Edge class and taking over "The Grape" from me and then I can decide what bike I get so we can go riding together....... Woo Hoo ! |

Hey, Mary (?), you're looking great. Get the Riders Edge course done, and come out to play with us "girls." We really love to ride, and we have great fun on our Buells! |

Joan - Mary saw your post (she doen't have a BadWeb ID...yet!). She is looking forward to her class and getting some practice miles under her belt. She sounded like she would like to do some "girl's club" riding. We are getting ready for our first 2-up on the Blast right now....... She hasn't been on a motorcycle since childhood, and her last ride was on a minibike, and ended after 60 seconds with a broken arm. |

Rob It wasn't your fault. Our trip was hit or miss up to the day we left. Larry and I were waiting on our paychecks to seal the deal, and luckily they came in on the 15th. That pic took me a while to compress just to post it so I'll have to work on getting them a little bigger for you guys. We have around 350 more. |
