Sounds like there's a ride planned tomorrow (again, off the sportsbike site). They're headed to the coast. There's a lot of greenish riders, and some more experienced riders doubling up. Tracy, up for a ride? Meeting at 10 AM at the beaverton starbucks on 185th. |

Macavite - I'm property of Team O this weekend, no beach ride for me. New BRAG meeting place is the RAM in Lake Oswego. Kind of a ways for us Beaverton folks, but I know a great route. |

Good to see you today Roc. A chance meeting with another Bueller is always good. Speaking of meeting, what are the directions to the Ram? |

What is wrong with your transmission? Have you gone to the classifieds of the Badweb? I'm sure someone went to a Baker and has a transmission sitting in the garage. You might check ebay too, I sold one there for about $250 awhile back. |

Never mind, it appears the case is cracked and it has spun the bearing???? not sure what exactly this means, but according to the mechanic, it means the motor is no good anymore!!! Pretty sure we are going to sell the blast as well and just be done with them all together. SO, up for sale, remains of an S1 and buell blast.. |

S1hooligan, I'm sorry to hear that. If I had the cash, I'd give Tracy exactly what she paid for the Best Blast Ever Built. I think you'd be better suited for a new bike with a gooooood loooonnggg warrenty. You two deserve to be riding, not paying mechanics. |

So, Debbie, we want the details of your 1st place finish in the Ladies Class this weekend. Already heard about Kim's low side (sorry Kim, you are awesome). Are you back to riding up to your potential? Not likely or you would have won the Mod 50 class too! Must have been Bob's two-a-day drills, "Deeper, further, deeper, further...." that brought you to this glorious climax. |

OK, the day we've all been dreading has finialy arrived... I started back to work today! Horror of all horrors! I feel like I've let you all down. I know I've been living vicariously through my own adventures! Hey there Hooliman, The demolished Buell in Bob's back 40 belongs to ROADRASH, aka Brandon. He hasn't even seen it yet, and I don't think he is thinking as far ahead as parting it out yet. -burp- Just took the time to read your post above and now note the newly discovered distruction. sorry. Ok, I went and test road one of them new fangeled Buells the other day. Oh my it is a different gizmo ...steering is very tight...really quick on the freeway...pretty comfy. When I got back on Betty she felt like a chopped 650 Yamaha with 8" risers! Took a min. to get back into her old school rythem. Debbie, it sounds like RACING to me! sooner, Galen |

here is my write up regarding the race........Well I was able to perfect the low-side this weekend. OUCH...... Surprised myself to realize though that Mike's nut sack was in tact (I had to borrow it for the race of course), it came in handy though as I was able to pick my bike up and with a little help get it started and finish the rest of the heat race. I managed to stay on the lead lap so that made me happy. I had a great time this weekend. Loved riding with all the ladies - thrilled to see Melissa out there, McKenzie was fun to chase down, at only 9 she is going to be a strong contender especially once she gets some slicks on her bike - Congrats to Debbie for a strong race and first place finish and to my home slice who started with me on the back row Miss Delcie Doooooooo, great job at getting around little McKenzie and pulling out a 2nd place finish. I must admit soaking and digging leather out of my finger is not something I want to do again anytime soon. Shoulder is a bit sore today - but all in all I am feeling damn good. The races this weekend were by far some of the best yet, good friends or make that great extended family, Mike has more brothers than he will know what to do with, I guess he is not a twin but a sextuplet - poor mother! Thanks Shawn for the texas hold 'em poker tournament, even though we didn't have any poker chips - 3 year old Cameron's cars came in handy. Next time I am going to see you one micro machine and raise you one school bus! Oh and I might let you beat me at UNO too! LMAO Looking forward to MotoGP since that is when I will see most of you next. Until then......... Peace! Kimberlie Regarding Debbie and her 1st place finish, she road like speed lightning, she was amazing, well earned finish and yes I was right up her little rear, but she didn't give me as much as an opportunity to get by, hence the low side - I tried to create the opportunity. Patience is a virtue I have learned. She practiced and practiced and practiced and it paid off. I'm not going to let my little get off hold me back though, I will be knocking on her door next race...... |

Hey all, Been a bit since I posted in here. I am thinking of riding my scoot back to Oregon this weekend, to Suprise my dad for Fathers Day, and looking for a place to crash Friday night and Sunday Night, somewhere around the Onterio/Vale area. Let me know if anyone has a cot/floor I can borrow. I would be in Onterio about 7pm on Friday and 9pm on Sunday. Nothing set in stone yet, still trying to convince the wife I don't want to drag her and the little one along (too much time in a cage for the little guy, 14 hours each way) and if I have a stop over set it could help a lot. Thanks in advance, Josh PS... Looks like due to milage/tank I will be taking 84 all the way up and across, so Baker City would be an acceptable stop over point too. Write up from Cody...... Cody took his KLX110 out there and raced it in the Jr. Thunder class as well in the adult Thunder class. He was also racing his MiniGP OZbike which has GP style shifting. It amazed me that Cody was able to go from a standard automatic 3 speed (KLX) and then take out a different GP style bike and keep it all straight. He placed 1st in the Jr Thunder class and 3rd in the adult Thunder class. Cody was extremely excited with his MOD50 race where he placed 2nd among 10 adult riders. He was pretty tired at the end of the day though, competing in all those heats/mains, but said it was one of the funnest weekends he has had racing. He loved racing his KLX and the variety of the two bikes. He also was able to get his knee down in turn 1, 2 & the last S section, so he was stoked about that showing us his little knee puck. Mike was busy doing the pit dad/spouse gig and did a mighty fine job of it I might add. He works very hard for our family to keep us running, filled up and ready to go. He even took on another kid - Cody's friend Tyler, who we brought out to the track to race for the weekend. A big thanks to Bob & Steve (big Steve) for helping to get those little tires changed out on Tyler's bike. Looking forward to next race already. |

You guys look like you've been having some GOOD FUN! Way to go, all! Except S1hooligan. Brandon. I'm sure you're aware there are engines on eBay regularly. One closing in about 30 hours. You could part out the good bits (heads, cams, tranny, etc.) from one engine to pay for the other. Although I can understand if you're ready to call it quits on it. You've had a bad run. Wish I had the cash flow to do it myself. And other Brandon not having seen his bike yet sounds bad. Is he walking? Talking? Having a brewsky at SPLASH? And what of Duane. If you're on-line, buddy, ping me about my packages. How many have I got there now? I've started a roll-call for SPLASH on the BC section. A few disappointing absences: Harve, Brent and Cindy, Stu!!!!! See the rest of you soon. |

Splash is quickly coming up. Looking for a bike someone might want to lend so my girlfriend can ride her own. Not that I'd mind having her on the back, but she really wants to ride her own ride. Anyway, we're not sure she'll have her own then (although we're looking hard) so if anyone has a mid-sized standard lying around......????? |

Firemanjim, cracked the case where the 5th gear main bearing goes?, I think that is what he said, I have not went and looked at it yet. He said he can't even locate most of the bearings, they are just gone. And the bike was leaking oil out the front sprocket area. He was saying he thinks the chain conversion is suspect? I dont know anymore...I just wanted a bike that looked different that I could ride, didnt want to become a mechanic, or pay one as much as I have been. Greeneric, We Have a 2000 Buell Blast for sale. Low miles, aftermarket parts. Tracie is not riding it, so Im gonna sell it, sell what I can on my S1 and get .....I dont wanna say it...You guys will just have to wait and see. Im going to wait to hear back from Anton about a possible Aluminum welding guy he knows? I dont know? Im tired of having to rely on other people to tell me the truth....But if it can be patched in some way, then you guys will see it on the showroom floor some place very soon....LOL...If not then I am going to part it out, and I will list all of the parts on here before trying ebay. |

Greeneric, Tracie's Blast is a special bike. 515 kit plus a whole lot of Aaron Wilson love in that puppy. It's the one Susan Wilson set a record on at Bonneville. Awesome engine, CrossRoads rearsets or stock, pro series intake, White Bros exhaust, S1 bars, etc, etc. |

Oh, Brandon! That is seriously a bummer. The good news I read into your post is that you will be at SPLASH but with a bike you can rely on? Sadly, a lot of Buells are worth more as parts than whole. Hopefully, since you bought it used, the original owner took the big hit for the depreciation. An aluminum patch on the cases would possibly haunt you if you didn't disclose it to a buyer. Dibs on the cams. Maybe. (Feeling like a vulture.) |

S1hooligan, Are you sue the case is cracked? There is a lot of cast aluminum in that area. Sounds to me like the final drive bearing is destroyed. This happens if the belt, or in your case the chain, is too tight. That final drive bearing uses a plastic carrier that doesn't take too much abuse. Check out the KV for more info. |

Branden, sent you a pm regarding the Blast. So, got a surprise in the mail yesterday. My sister sent me a book titled "Motorcycle Journeys through the Pacific Northwest." The latest in the Motorcycle Journeys series from Whitehorse Press (http://www.whitehorsepress.com/). The author, Bruce Hansen, is a local (Beaverton, OR) and teaches 5th grade at the school my sister teaches at. So she finaggled a copy. Nicely written, good pictures and advice. Overall, a very well done tome. He profiles 25 rides in Oregon, Washington, and B.C. One of the rides, Mt St Helens, was just featured in the latest issue of Rider Magazine. Anyway, I recommend checking it out. |
