A lot of people run a stock ecm with a Jardine , so you should be fine. And then get a Race ecm when you have the money.

I've seen a post somewhere about removing the velocity stack and installing a filter directly to the throttle body. The way I understand it the velocity stack not only becomes warped, but is mounting inside the throttle body which is reducing the opening. This is basically a set-up like the fast system without using a velocity stack. He was using a thermal blanket also to help with the heat. Would this be too much air for a Jardine and stock ECM to handle?

no more AIR in no more out

in other words

no air filter change, no desnorkel no airbox mods

only sound comes out if you change exhaust

IN THEORY....

of course you will get less back pressure,

but not enough ??????

Dyno it and tell me.

just a mechanics opinion

The race filter and cut inner airbox probably gives you as much air as you need for your moderate mods.

Note that the Jardine gives up the exhaust valve, you might be gaining noise but loosing power down low.

I think both the Drummer folks and the Odie pipe from Stone Mountian are playing with modded flapper mufflers, they keep the valve. I have not heard a drummer, but if you like the noise you will like the odie pipe, if it is anything like the one on my 9.

I just cut up my stock airbox and it made the bike LOUD.
If you do it you will like it, and it is $free$ (but man that is some tough plastic.

just got back from my ride today and passed the 1k mark. I'm going to do all my own servicing. I was wondering is it really necessary to have the TPS reset? My bike is running strong.
So I guess I'll try a desorkle,k & n and Jardine and see what happens. Anyone else have this combo on a 12?

now you are gonna let more air in ........

you will need to remap/race module/powercomander/tfi

tps zero, air fuel zero,

or the bike will run like cr@p !!!!!

Reepi, The Drummer does not retain the valve's operation for the 12....it is simply not needed for making power, but if you leave the stock muffler in tact with the tubes inside and you want to make linear torque, well you want the valve....

Tatt, you'll be fine with the jardine and the stock ecm...

I can get you the Jardine for 261.00
1-866-757-1651
ask for Dave in the sales dept.
I won't be back at work til Tuesday after 10 am
I have them in stock.
As long as you don't do the air filter or mod the airbox you will be fine running the muffler until you can do the ECM

Tattdbueller,

I have the same set up. All I can say is that I have not noticed much in the loss of power department. In fact this thing has got so much power that I wonder what would happen if I could get more!! Tickets, killing myself, who knows. Anyhow, I say go for it and get the set up. Get the tps reset though. My ran a little foul for a minute until I had the 1000 Mi. service.

Thanks for the help guys. Dave I'll let you know as soon as I'm ready. I'm also working on a little rigid chopper so I'm trying to feed both my projects at the same time.
