My big ride is planned for Aug. I can't stop thinking about it. This is driving my nuts. A ride from Florida to Wisconsin and then down to Deal's Gap. (Hope those Pirelli Scorps hold up to that. Interstate all the way to Wisconsin. Then Highways to the Gap) This is torture. I'm dying to go. I'm thinking about getting a fresh set of rubber put on just before I go. I just replaced the rear but think having a new tire come Aug. would be best. Maybe a new front also. Front tire has 9300 miles on it but it looks only half worn. You'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't ride through N. Georgia too! |

True, but I missed out on going to the Gap last year due to an injury. I want to go bad. |

Do not leave home without new tires. I nearly stranded myself with a worn out tire 600 miles from home. TicToc |

That's the trouble with planning ahead, it gets you thinking too much about what you are missing |

Catarac, why not just have tires put on when you get to WI? One of us Wisconsin Bueller's could easily setcha up with a local dealer... Now, my Scorpion Syncs on my '98 S3T have almost 3K on them so far. The rear still looks pretty new. But running the super slab all the way to WI from FL may put a serious flat spot in 'em. |

Could do that. I'll see how they are come July. |
