DTX stopped by my house last night and picked up three new inspection cover screws and a new gasket. He ended up having to drill out one of the screws, but was back on the rode last night. I need some phone number's. Drake was unable to come up with a drumel last night. I have air tools, but he already drained the primary at his house. |

Tim, no she-it, Drake tried several times to get a hold of you last night with out any luck. Oh well he's back on the rode now. I'm rapidly accumulating phone numbers, but keep them coming. Larry and JJ are you back yet? |

Zeus, we pulled in at about 8 tonight...It was a great ride today..yesterday was another story, push starting the bike, and riding 100 miles in a monsoon...It ended up just being the relay..went to ROUTE 66 HD in Tulsa, and tried to get the relay...They didn't have it so JJ asked him if he would pull the relay out of one of the new bikes on the floor. We told him that we have seen Central pull rims and whatever they needed off a new bike to get a traveler moving again...The parts guy looked me square in the eye and said we would just tell you your screwed...At this point another part guy (Buffalo) took over for the young kid and promptly took the relay out of a new xb and gave it to me free of charge. All in all a good 500+ mile jaunt. |

For ice tea and to B.S. oh well maybe next time. Drake glad we where able to meet up and ride for a while. Also hope you had fun up at the car show. Next time we'll get an earlier start, and have more time to hang out. Pele3 I got your parts list ready, but I left it up a Central. I'll save it for when you pick up your bike. JJ, Topeka is closed Monday, but I'll double check on your belt Tuesday. Larry, rear muffler bracket, starter relay's, muffler bearing's, alternator gasket's, head light fluid, and a radiator cap for a 1973 VW Beetle. Did I forget anything? Zues, Thanks for the help on the clutch cover bolts and gasket. That was a pretty nice ride up 177 from Cassoday on Sunday. I was impressed with your wife's riding skills. She hung with us GOOD! Tim learned a new trick...what do you call that? The Superman?! Lets just say it had to do with his new cruise control... Lets plan on it again next month. |

Zues, I would have stopped by but I had a dinner to goto that I got an ear full at. Then I had to mow the lawn, lets just say it took me an hour just to locate my dog. Stopped by Sams later that evening and shot the BS for awhile. |

Friday before Memorial Day, I flew to Ajo Arizona and picked up my friend's 93 FXR and rode it back to KC getting back sundown Monday. Worked my off all week, did my adopted daughter's wedding and reception Saturday, entertained her old family from New York City Sunday. Work my Butt off this week to be able to leave early Friday and fly to Sacramento and drive to Mendocino area, and go see my new grandson who was born yesterday afternoon, til Tuesday, come back and work my off all week and then drive to Dallas to attend a week of corporate meetings. Riding the Buell to work for gas mileage. Putting around on the FXR as I work on it and took some wedding guest for rides on it Sunday morning. Hope you all are having as much fun this month as I am. I paid $2.27/gal for BP 92 Octane for the X1W today on North Oak. Just call me Grandpa Rusty |

Hey Zeus, I cleaned the oil pressure switch like you suggested but it did no good. The light is still coming on and off randomly. It never stays on longer than a couple of seconds. Any ideas? |

I was just looking in the service manual and it states that if the light does not come on when ignition is turned prior to starting the engine, then either the switch or the wire is bad. Mine only comes on about half the time. I guess I will order a new switch when I order new rotors from Daves. In the mean time, I will just keep my fingers crossed that it isn’t actually an oil pressure problem! (Message edited by cereal on June 08, 2005) |

Rob, I'm sure we have that switch in stock. I'll double check tomorrow. It shouldn't cost more then $15-$20. If you want to be on the safe side, we could unscrew the sending unit, install a manuel gauge and double check your pressure. |

I ordered the switch and rotors from Daves yesterday as well as a new set of tires so I can just do it all at the same time. I would definitely like to check the pressure though. Would I have to bring it in to Central for that or do one of the guys have a gauge? |

I was Eastbound on I-70, between Sterling and Noland road at 6:30 tonight, and I saw them strapping a white motorcycle on top of a flatbed tow truck. It was really beat up, and looked kind of hand-painted white. It looked similar to an M2 but not quite. I couldn't see well because of the people around it, so I don't even know if it was a Buell. Are we all accounted for? |

Paul, are you talking about the post here in the classified? That was not my bike. I just came across it in the Lawrence paper and was passing it on. |
