Thanks Dave! I was actually hoping that you would reply. So, it's basically the same tool, but needs a notebook/laptop? I'll check out the link. Thanks again! |

Cool! Dave, how do they compare to the Scanalyzer/Digital Tech? I would be interested in trying this out to see how the data would compare so we may stock them at our dealership. |

So...Is just Buell specific or would I also be able to hook it up to my dads Electra Glide? |

It's a different EFI on the HD but they have those too. I can get one for you. Odin, Call Giamberto at Techno Research. He is a wealth of info. |

I checked out the website. It looks like the program and cable can work with a handheld computer, like my IPAQ 2210. Very cool indeed. I'm going to call Techno as well, to ask the same question as Odinbueller had. |

So has anybody actual used this to reset their TPS or is this brand new? It would be great to have this capability at home. Wade |

Yes, but the software isn't finished. The last time I used it on the pc it disconnected with every thing I did and needed manual reconnect (click a button) which took a few seconds. When your working on something that becomes very annoying. The last time I worked with it I had received a new dongle from Giamberto which works with both the pc and an ipaq. I used it with the ipaq and it worked flawless, but I am I still missing AFV read out and lambda read out. I would like to datalog those two and they are not available. |

I profess my ignorance...what does these do-hicky's do? Is it the device that hooks up to the bikes computer to tell you what is wrong with it? I read through the description, is that the jist of it? Very interesting. |

This is a consumer suite of tools that show finite details of how your bike is running, showing DTCs (Trouble codes that cause the Engine light to illuminate), TPS & AFV adjustments. You just have to be careful when tinkering with the brain of the bike. |

I reset my TPS over the weekend, AFV also. Its easy to do, but like Ingemar said you need to reconnect frequently, which is pretty annoying. Its just a click, but you have to remember it frequently. The software requires either a handheld (pda or pocket pc) or a laptop. You get the software and a dongle (connector that sits between the serial port and the serial cable) which connects to the data port of the FI system under the seat. TechnoReseach has done a great job of making the software available via the web, so updates are a piece of cake. I was also looking to be able to read current settings, like Ingemar also commented on. I posted some movies of the software in action, pretty boring stuff (my wife and kid make cameos in the background). But it will give you a look at the interface. The Bike is running in the status display movies (bars/lines/gauges). Gauges Lines Bars Fuel Pump Test Injector Test |

Giamberto Scaccia at TechnoResearch tells me he believes the dropped connection issue has been resolved in the latest software version. It can be downloaded from their website. |

I guess he had a few calls today. When I called, I could hardly keep up with the info! You're right, Dave, a wealth of info! I'm going to demo the PDA version to see how the meters & data look. The cool thing is that all updates are free to registered users. And they are looking into incorporating mapping on the 2005 re-flashable ECMs. |
