Some of you guys are saying you remove the exhaust with out pulling the pulley. I can get a socket on one of the rear (most rear) exhaust clamps, through the pulley. How do you get to the second rear exhaust clamp. Any tips. |

I was able to get a them both through the pulley. But if you can't, maybe try a wobble ratchet extension. You need one of those anyway to get at the rear spark plug. |

take the pulley off! it is so much easier to do it that way. loosen rear wheel and then remove the pulley. |

Nah, forget removing the pulley. I used a 3" wobble extension and a deep socket. No problems. |

When you put the clamp back on, just flip it over so that you can get to it from the other side of the bike next time you need to do it. |

I had ALL of my bands fall off somewhere between El Centro, CA and Yuma, AZ. Pully removal was not an issue at that point. I reinstalled the bands with the screws on the left hand side of the exhaust can. that way I can visually inspect them anytime and even tap them with the toe of my boot to make sure they aren't loose. If you go this rout just make sure the rear clamp screws don't interfere with the sidestand fully retracting. |
