I'm going to have my fuel tank off and I'd like to go ahead and do this, but I see that clearance was tight. Are the clearances different between an X1 and an S3? As you described, the clearance between the PCV is close on the rear rocker box. I installed a couple of stainless washers under the tank rear mount before installing the bolt. Problem solved. I did a little creative filing on the PCV valve and was able to fit it with no problem.
