I am a Nurse!! And I blame my stage name on CJXB, WHATEVER,Hellion and FieryXB. They came up with the name at our xmas party a few years back. I guess it is because I AM NAUGHTY!! (Message edited by naughtynurse on May 30, 2005) |

Not to go off topic, but... I work with the other guys... Courtney, Cory , and yes a Dana.... that, plus previous experiences, shows, that most guys with those names, including Kelly, and I few others I cant remember right now, are usually BIG GUYS... Guess it had to do witht teasing when they were in school, Chase |

A way back when, our company email was mainframe, it used the initial and surname - i'm Trevor Edwards and it would display as Tedwards. Even though my epilog clearly stated my full name ,people would inevitably call me Ted Wards. Boring but true. |

Back in the early 70's when I had my first bike (R5C), Francis Ming of Fremont Yamaha had given me the nickname of Bobup because I was a Bob who always showed up in his shop just to bench race and such. I would walk in and he would exclaim "it's Bobup!". Great guy he was! He will always be missed by me and all others that knew him. He and his wife Missy had perrished in their Cessna late one evening in mid 80's. Sad day in my memories....so my handle has been and always will be "Bobup" |

I'm simple myself by just using my last name, but I figure that there aren't too many of us out their riding anything with that name, never mind a Buell. |

Well, at one point I owned a 66 SS chevelle, a 65 ford pickup w/ a 390 4bbl, a 64 dodge flatbed w/ a bigblock truck motor, and my bike was an old iron head 1000 sporty I stroked out to 1200. I was on the CB radio alot back then and had a handle which wasn't sticking, probably as I named my self, and a partner in crime said since everything I drove and rode had a bigblock, that was my new handle. It stuck. |

Like Ted, mine comes from an old mainframe email system. First initial and last name chopped to 8 characters. Its drawn a few laughs from colleagues in the UK, their connotation being just slightly different than in the US. |

Back in the late 50's I was one of the first Harvard undergraduates to ride a motorcycle, which was considered a very low class activity in those days. This was long before one "met the nicest people on a Honda", as they said in their early ad campaigns. The eccentric old guy that worked on my MG TC and introduced me to English motorcycles, TR Jackson, gave everyone a nickname. The name he gave me, Gentleman Jon, seems to have stuck for almost 50 years:-). |

Some people surprise me whrn they get mine. It comes from being in the Coast Guard and doing Search And Rescue (SAR) so to be different I used to be called SAR Dawg. Once I got out and joined the police department, I added the 2 what I used to do, to the police department I work for, Davenport. Hence SARDawg2DPD |

I've been in the Computer Sciences industry for 7 years now, and log into and join a lot of forums. I was always tired of coming up with new handles, so I came up with something that nobody could possibly come up with. I ski a lot, telemark, and my last name is Wood. There are so many people on the web now, sometimes my handle gets suffixed with numbers, can't believe it. Anyway, 2 years ago I was looking to buy a bike, and started looking at bike forums, and just started pluggin in this handle. Now that I bought an XB and visit this sit all the time, I would change it to something Buell oriented, but I'd hate to loose the post points I have now. Not that it's that many, just that I'm pretty shy about posting....haha.... |
