Its pretty bad when you walk into a dealership in Spain and they have totally outclassed any of your local dealers...

Bill your a day late and a dollar short Well more like 6 days that is...those pics were shot on Tuesday I had no real internet connection and no real way to transfer pics from the camera to the computer as both the Hotel and the decent 'Netcafe's wouldn't allow you to attach hardware to the computers. |

Mikel, If I remember correctly you are an old tire guy. I have a question that maybe you can help me with. I recently had a flat and had to push my bike about 1/2 mile home. I plugged the tire and now I can't seem to get the tire to bead to the rim. Do you have any magic tricks than can ease my problem? |

Front or rear and what are you using for an air source Bill? Either way, use a ratchet tie down pulled as tight along the circumfrence of the tire right down the middle before you tighten it up. Then tighten the strap until the bead is forced against the rim, lube it up all the way round both sides so you can see where the air is escaping in order to add more pressure to that area. IF you are using a basic airpump VS a full size compressor this method should work. A full size compressor works better since it can flow more air in a shot. |

Don't forget to remove the valve stem core. It let's in more air to seat the bead. Welcome back Wicked! |

Heya Kobie, its good to be back. Though admittedly it was nice being surrounded by the smell of burning two-stroke oil as we wandered the streets It was very rare to see anything over a 125cc machine, but when you did, most of the time it was BMW's. Lots of 'zuki GS500's in full faired and naked form. All of the Buells I saw on the street were SX's. Got told that if we sent more time out on the motorways(highways) we would see alot more of the larger bore bikes, as well as if we spent more time around the outsides of Barcelona. Is there any plan to meet up anywhere tonight? |

If you want to do Prescott, how about meeting at the Chevron on Carefree hwy & I17 at 8 or 8:30? I can do earlier or later if we need to adjust for others. Option #2 you pick a route on the east side of the valley. |

Thanks for the kind words Wycked! We did fairly well on Sunday- the bike isn't handling as well as I had hoped on the stock suspension. The good news is the Michelin slicks rocked, and the Penske shock should be here any day. The front forks will be reworked in the next few weeks, as the biggest problem is lack of preload adjustment up front (springs to soft for my 200 lb a$$). As for results: Lightweight Superbike- 5th place (1st race on XB-9R.. took a few laps to get used to after riding 2 races on my EX-500 first. Lightweight GP- 3rd place Thunderbike- 2nd place ($200 Buell contingency money) Next race weekend will be in Las Vegas Sept 17th & 18th. |

Lightweight Superbike, Lightweight GP and Thunderbike are usually infested with SV 650's. I was the only Buell on the grid....needless to say- lots of questions asked in the pits. Everyone thought it was a great looking bike and surprised by its performance. |

Way to represent bro! I wish I weighed about 150. I have a feeling at 230 I'm just too big to ever race no matter how good a rider I became... |
