I got cought out in the rain the other day and was wiping the bike down and noticed that the instrument panel felt loose. I didn't feel completely loose but you could lift it up a bit and it would move around some. I took off the fairing and checked the nuts that hold it on and they were at the right torque. I don't remember it being as loose before, I wonder if it's the grommets wearing down??? Anybody notice this before??? Not a big thing, just something that makes you go hmmmmm It was raining yesterday so I didn't mind spending it in the garage. It gave me the excuse to take that 'hood' off of the low beam and put in some PIAA bulbs... Kevin |

Mine does the same thing. I 'assume' it's floating a bit on those rubber grommets for vibration dampening. Looks like I've lost the backlighting on the far right side of the cluster behind the tach. SM says the bulbs are "non'replaceable", anyone know different? |

Yep, it sits on rubber grommets. |

Mine was loose enough to vibrate n make a little buzz. So I put a piece of double sided tape under it and it doesn't move or buzz anymore. |

I noticed mine seems to have got a little looser lately also. Don't know why but it sure does move allot now. |

Mine did the same thing, I took it in and got it tighten back up. No more buzzing. |

Thanks Guys, at least I'm not the only one... I"m guessing the grommets maybe flatten out or something after a while... Kevin |

A wad of double sided 3M tape underneath and out of view fixes it. |
