I just found out today that I am being sent to SAR(Search and Resue Swimmer) school 27 June. While I am not thrilled in the least, I do get to go to my favorite Port(Jax), adn of course will try to make the best of it.... Anyway, I am hoping to take thebike down there, though will have to find a trailer(it would be hard to carry a sea-bag on the bike to say the least)... Anyway, will be there for about a month, and hoping to actaully meet some fellow Buellers, cause there are none here in Hampton Roads, Virginia.... Anyway... Chase |

Chase, You a Coastie? After spending a few years as an EMT in S.E. Alaska I have to say that the CG in general, and rescue swimmers in paticular, are the people I most admire in this world. I recall many a night hanging at the heio-pad during a 50 knot blow, waiting for that big Sikorsky (sp?) to come thumping over the island and ferry some mangled soul back to the hospital in Ketchikan. (self edit) Nevermind, just read your profile and see USN. Still, rescue swimmers ROCK! You go guy. Rob |
