Lake, me too I switched my 99 S3 to the right to match my S1 Buell Fact: 98 S3's had the tach on right and 98 S3T had them on the left. Knowing that, when I bought my 99 S3 I knew I could change it to match my S1

Tripp, the chequered flag Aedrocharged S1 pic was shot by me. That S1 is owned by Garry Forrest from Newcastle, England, and was at one time the fastest road legal Buell in the world running on street tyres without the aid of a wheelie bar. I haven't seen Garry in about 4 years but last I heard he'd been bitten by the drag racing bug and bought a Japanese four to pursue higher speeds. As I understood it he sidelined the Buell back then but where it is now???? Incidentally if you ever come across those drinking mugs or T -shirts with the caricatured S1 printed on them - now you know where the super model herself came from. Rocket |

JT it's made by Metmachex Engineering in England and they're well renowned in such matters and have been for many years. Tat use to sell Metmachex oil tanks for the tubers, maybe the swing arms too, but you'd have to ask Al for sure. If you really are interested and draw a blank let me know. Rocket |

We still sell the Metmachex oil tanks and swingarms. I have one of each on my personal S1W (see picture in profile), from before I bought American Sport Bike. I have one of the Metmachex swingarms in stock. It's a bit pricey at $775, not too many people spending that kind of coin on S1s any more, but it's a nice piece, stiffer than the stock steel one, and far nicer looking. Al |

$775 seems bloody cheap to me Al! The exchange rate works well in us Brit's favour these days. If I added $50 shipping back to the UK xe.com converts $825 to £452. Last time I priced a Metmachex arm it was over £500 + UK shipping! I'm happy with my X1 arm but I'd recommend the Metmachex to anyone and at your price Al I'd have your hand snapped off if I were in the market. Still, I guess $775 in the US buys a lot more produce than £452 does in the UK. That's the real deal!! Rocket |

Well, that one has been on the shelf for some time. When you can buy an entire S1 for $3500-$4000, $775 seems a bit pricey. The other thing is that people (like yourself!) put polished 99+ swingarms on, and if you do the polishing yourself, it can be a cheaper proposition. Not as cool looking as the metmachex arm, though. I'd bet that when that one sells, the replacement arm will cost a lot more, given the exchange rate these days. But I won't raise the price until it comes to that. Al |

Here's a few pics of my S1 at its current stage. Still looking for a set of Banke shift/brake levers and an Aluminum oil tank. Anyone have extra of these laying around??? Still have to convert to newer swing arm also. Is there a trick to getting better quality pics to post, by the time I reduce mine to fit the 60kb limit they look washed out. It was a Buell part you could buy, I don't think they are available from buell anymore. I bought this one on E-bay. I just listed another solo seat for a S1 on e-bay if your interested, here's a link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4553648283&ca tegory=35566&sspagename=WDVW |
