here is an old picture but this is what I've done over the winter. The XB9R got the 2004 Belt upgrade 1998 S1 got a five gal tank 1999 S3 w/48,000 mile had a leaking base gasket, its getting new pistons/rings and freshing up the heads. The XB and S1 has the Ventura Rack/bag system

Caleb, I gotta agree that is very sharp looking. Definitely one of the better looking color schemes I have seen. |

Thanks, i'm real happy with the result. The S1 is for me the most beautiful Buell. But a X1 has some nice features over a S1. So why not rebuild a X1 (that I already owned) to a S1. Did'nt go easy though, had to do a lot off thinking and problem solving. Ever tried to fit an ECM, wiring, fuse box, banking senor, turn signal module (don't know the english name), and a oil tank in a space the size of a 6-pack? In the netherlands the license-plates are to big for a proper mounting. So i had to come up with a idea for that as well. They bent easily It is not finished yet, i'm still working on a Xenon headlight and improving the tail light with Led's. The taillight works, but not the way I want it to. |

Marchel...Outstanding workmanship! What air cleaner did you use on your old X1 and is that the same one that you incorporated into the white bike? |

@ Outrider: It is a K&N filter, I made a manifold to make it fit. Note: The orange and white bike are the same bike. |
