ANYONE please help. I just washed my bike and well now it wont start. I tracked it down to the fact that my plugs are not getting spark So im trying to figure out if its the Coil or something between the coil and the switch. One thing i did notice is that Before i washed the bike, When i Turned it on I would hear a fuel pump whine. Now it doesnt whine at all just the little light comes on and then go's away. Anyone have the slightest idea? Ben |

Check to make certain the plug wires are seating properly on the plugs. Might also want to check to make certain there's no water inside of the boots. Also, might want to use some plug grease to prevent water getting in in the future. |

Sounds like its not activating the fuel pump either though. I wonder if some water got into the instrument panel or into the kill switch housing. |

You didn't hit the kill switch by mistake? |

If its turning over, I dont think its a kill switch issue. I'd think fuse also or a short. |

i checked all the fuses and they are good that was the first thing i checked. Im not sure if it could be the relays i took each out and differnt things shut off so i know that each of them work. Any idea on what could cause a short? or where to start tracing the wires? I looked in the service manual but couldnt find anything on where the wire run from the coil. The thing that sucks is i dont know what part i need to buy to fix this, DAMN IT !!!! |

Does the starter turn the engine over? If it doesn't and the fuel pump does not run, then I would be looking at the relays. My bike had a relay burn up and the fuel pump would not run and the starter would not turn. Parts about $5.00 |
