Al, you summed it up pretty nicely. hey, iim thinking we need to get an inflatable dome for Oktoberfast. we could position it directly below the deck, cleverly avoiding having to contend with the physics of you actually jumping OUT far enough to reach it, leaving the only issue to be determined whether or not the thing would hold your weight after a 10-foot swan dive. the Contest of Manliness this year is gonna be FUN!!! |

Al, Tom, Sandblast, Eric, Sparky and the rest of the attendees, The ride today was great. I have never ridden 74 from the east to the west. Great run! The speeds obtained on this ride were the bomb. Oh, maybe we shouldn't mention that part It was great seeing Ebear blow some squid off with the S3. Good thing all the cops flew back east to be with their moms for the weekend! |

I had fun too, thanks guys. My favorite part was seeing that "Stunta" flirt with Eric (or maybe it was Al with all that carbon fiber) and jump off his motorcycle... |

I recognize that dance... "You put your left foot in... You take your left foot out..." It's a variation of the AZ Happy Dance... |

What a weekend we had here in Socal. First, the weather was great! Saturday started at Glendale Harley Davidson Buell. Erik Buell was on hand to meet the customers, the dealer did demo rides, and demo riders got Buell back packs. All employees were in Buell T-shirts. The dealer even advertised this event in local rags. Tim & Candice Hurley (by the way, if ever dreamed of a husband who has a wife who rides and supports the sport, be jeolous), and the rest of the BRAG gang cooked hamburgers to raise money for the local race team. It was a great time. Well, today was the Bomb! The Buells rocked at Willow Springs Raceway. What a great time. The coolest thing to me was how Ernie Snair (tied for top Buell salesman in the US last year) threw together a BLAST race bike on a S1 frame, S1 tail, and an S3 fuel tank. It was awesome. It was good enough to put into production! Chris Matty, Jim, Tim Hurley, Mario (Glendale HD Buell big wig), another Chris, raced and raced and raced. It's very cool when you buy a bike from a dealer, and find that the dealer people you see during the week are racing the same product on the weekends. Chris Matty came in 3rd place in a race! And who was there all day to hang with the group, but Erik Buell. And, when the V-twin class raced (sponsered by Glendale HD Buell), Erik help call the race. It was an awesome day! Like I always say, I could walk home from a Marina Del Rey dealer, but I rode the bus home from Glendale HD Buell. Thanks to everyone in the BRAG chapter, and all the racers! All the Buells finished, no one went down, and it was all good! |

Hey Unibear...great seeing U too. Ironically, the track is almost perfectly centered between me in LA and U in B'field. I clocked around 80 miles back to home, and I think U said it was 80 some miles to B'field. |

Bout 75 for me the short way, but if I have the time for the long way (not much longer) there's little slab, mostly two lane with twisties. Had to take the short way Sunday just to have as much time at the track as coming & going. |

Hiya folks, Good riding with all that made it out for yesterday's ride. Any word from James? Did anything else fall off on the way home? Did his wife beat him up? =) Brian & Sandy it was great to meet you both and I'm looking forward to next month's ride! |

James got back down the hill OK - Saro was able to run him home. Sandy got dropped back at Glendale HD after the cracked header (see, there are advantages to inviting the crashed racer along on the ride with his truck) |

The Torquays play Baja Cantina's Wednesday Surf Night tonight. With a name like Torquays, this is a band that Buellers can get stoked about! I remember listening to early 60's surf bands like when the Belairs played Drop Ins in Redondo Beach, and these guys have that edgy, authentic 60's surf sound. There's NO COVER charge, always good food, drink, sights 'n sounds and... you might win a custom surfboard or beach cruiser bicycle! |

Tonight's the night (remember that song?) the Orange County award winning Reventlos play Baja Cantina. Enjoy the sick-and-twisted tunes from the prime purveyors of "death-surf/Afro-billy", the Reventlos. It's FREE! Also this is the last Surf Night of the month when they raffle off a surfboard or beach cruiser. |
