Oh man, that sucks. Looks like a burnout that got away from him.

For at least picture number one, he was pulling about the coolest stunt I've ever seen on a motorcycle.

Nice work with the camera, though!

It was a launch that got away from him. The short wheelbase*traction*torque equation bit him.

The funny part is, for that type of impact, YOU are the slider! I'm kinda glad he didn't go up and over with it...

I've done some stupid on a motorcycle, but that guy takes the cake. The best part is that he is now immortalized.

Didn't look like his baseball cap did too much to protect his head. At least the guy on the blue Buell was wearing some protective equipment.

Should leave the stunts to the pros on their rat bikes. http://www.sacnuts.com/gallery/index.php?g=tlc_channel_031605&p=14&frpg=2&f=#pic

Looks like this guy is supposed to be a pro...

Here's another angle, "Kyle Woods" is his name:

And here's where you can buy a copy of his instructional video, where he tells us the finer points responsible riding and safety gear (not!):

I don't think an amateur could possibly do worse.

I can't believe that people would go to a drag strip and attempt a stunt like that without a helmet

So if Mr. Ballistic Blue Buell is among us, you've been granted a reprieve. You clearly did several things right in your moment of glory.

I noticed in the 2nd picture his visor is open.
I can't believe the track officials would let him into the staging area like that.

This is why if you want to do stunts or racing you don't use your street bike. Go buy a beater bike or a dirt bike to practice on before attempting on a good street bike. I have a Honda NS50 I practiced wheelies on and have had it come back over on me a few times, at least it's light enough to push away as it's coming down. I feel that my experiences on the small bike have helped me in not over powering my Buell when I try a wheelie. The guy may have been a newbie and heard all the jap bikes reving high rpm's on take off and didn't realize the low end torque of the Buell, especially on a sticky surface.

I think most riders can empathize with the Buell burnout gone wrong situation. Hard to laugh when you've experienced similar situations yourself.

Where's Jerry Haughton, our esteemed Battle Trax champion and fearless drag racer of some note?

I love the title of the second 'stunt' clip.. . 'Helmets Are For Pussies!' hahaaa! rrrright. Guess you're invincible until the day your superpowers can't handle a little pavement.

The first time I tried a burnout on my 9 I didn't use enough revs and it stood up vertical but I didn't loose it...close though. That was my introduction to low end v-twin torque. Now if I can just learn to use it for off-idle wheelies...
