Does anyone have a list of the things I will need to buy for the 10K? Like gaskets, oils, etc? |

When we do a 10K service, here's what I get: 3 quarts engine oil 1 oil filter 1 quart sport-trans lube/gear oil 2 drain plug o-rings (P/N 11105) 1 chain inspection cover gasket 1 clutch inspection cover gasket 2 spark plugs 2 containers of type e fork oil Included with our shop supplies is lubit-8 teflon based lube for cables and H-D Chain Lube Plus for the sidestand & spring, peg pivot pins. If you're bone stock, an air cleaner element wouldn't hurt either, just in case. Also check your brake pads to make sure they're within spec. Part of the 10K service is to reset the TPS, and only a dealer can do this. Check your tire tread depth & condition. Hope this helps. |

On the 03's at least, you're supposed to inspect the primary chain shoe (thickness). Mine was barely out of spec at about 12,700. It's about $25. Might be handy to have on hand if it needs replacing. IIRC, a new shaft seal is recommended when you remove the primary cover. |

"Part of the 10K service is to reset the TPS, and only a dealer can do this." unless one has a device from www.technoresearch.com with which to reset their TPS. |
