They make those things that vibrate underneath the seat to let you know the blinker is on. |

The little black box that is the cancelling "brain" used on H-Ds works in conjunction with the speedo. The unit is pricey and you need the special speedometer too. Tell her to use the original, self-cancelling organic signal that came as stock equipment when she was born. Or drill turning off the signal for a few minutes a day. I'll shut up now. AL |

I frequent a Suzuki Volusia board (to keep my wife's bike up to date), and it has practicly the same control stet up as us Buelligans...they suggest installing a piezio-electric buzzer in the center consol..then the turn signal flashes, the buzzer goes BEEEEP...a rather annoying and effective reminder to turn the dang thing off. A similar setup could be done on the Buell, by hooking a radio-shack piezio-buzzer (less than $5) in parallel to the signal ground wire (i think, not electrics expert) Hide the buzzer behind the speedo, and BZZZZ..ya got your auto(reminding)signal indicator! a $5 solution to a $0 cost problem |

Cancel frequently, cancel often. I get in the habit of, every time I look around and think how nice a day it is for riding, hitting the cancel button. Or, every time I almost get hit by some idiot, hit the cancel button. Or as a more frequent reminder, every time I have to stop for gas, hit the cancel button!! |

My XB even has the "idiot" light and my girlfriend pulls up beside me to tell me I left it on AGAIN. She is really just showing off her self cancelling signals, in a cruel way. |

Is it possible to file down what ever piece locks the button to the left or right? It seems like that would'nt be to hard to figure out. |

On the 'viberider' thing.. A buddies wife had one installed in a custom cruiser she built. Beautiful thing, white with custom white leather and blue pegasus/wizards etc. Anyway, she had it mounted under the riders position. At shows she would start up the bike and let other ladies have a seat and rev the motor.. It was a great smile inducer.. Until at one show a bunch of ladies from the CMA started fighting over who was next. They had to pack the bike away to protect it and the peace of the event. Lesson to learn from it.. Never get between a born again and an electric variable speed vibrating device that is covertly placed for her pleasure.. I forget too.. especially since my other bike has an auto shut off.. oh well.. I just try to get in the habit of tapping the cancel every time I turn. Oh well.. |
