Bill I'm not really sure about the best brand!! I bought the buell ones from Central on closeout, and really haven't tried them out yet, maybe tonight. Oh yeah you need to come buy the house and find out why fiddy's are fun, Larry just put a 12 bar on his and we are scraping the hell out of it. |

According to DaveS, Buell doesn't have those suits any more. Don't want an H-D suit, although their latest actually looks good. So I am looking at motorcyclecloseouts.com since they have a store in the area....... Just ordered CityX bars for the Blast and am looking at rearsets now...... this is fun..... |

Cereal, I'm awful fat and I discarded the original seat and the first Pro Series seat. I now use the second Pro Series seat that Buell offered on the website. ($200) It's good for 300 miles. I use a Corbin for the TwinTail and it is good for more miles but has it's own problems, too wide between the thighs and can't hang off. Too hard also. Corbin fit is spotty, I had to file mine to fit. The perfect seat for the S1 has not been made. Try Gel pads for long distance. or get an S2. |

Tripper: My issue isn't comfort; it's feeling like Wile E. Coyote on an Acme rocket (which isn’t half bad!). Kccylcone: Weather is cooperating? What’s your source? All I’m seeing is thunderstorms. Hanses25: Thanks for the welcome. Shazam: Too late! |

Thanks for the props on the bike, but I feel like destroying it right now. I made it four blocks from The Other Place, and the belt broke clean in half. I spent the next three hours trying to run down a friend with a truck to get it home. I couldn’t have made the run to Lawrence even if I tried. Looks like I won’t be able to make the next ride either, depending on how much this is going to cost me. |

Cereal, give Zeus a call tomorrow at Central, he will be able to get you a price and probably a belt. That was a great ride tonight, those bugs looked a lot like rain drops coming down really fast. |

Larry, Is this a job we can do in your garage? I thought this may be the time I was going to have to bite the bullet and just have the dealer do it. |

Cereal, I'm pretty sure we can handle changing the belt ourselves...Do you have the service manual for your bike? |

What model Buell does Cerial have? We have 2 X1's and a S3T that have thrown 4 belts between'em...the last one was $178 and some change...the X1's were easy to change, the S3T not so much...I fabricated a frame spreader similar to the one pictured in the service manual but, it wouldn't give enough clearance to get the swingarm isolator out...ended up buying a portapower to spread the frame. |

4 belts on three bikes? That sucks! And I thought I was mister bad luck. I've got a '96 S1 with 14500 miles. |

Hi Cereal, That means you'll need to spread the frame...your welcome to borrow my portapower if you need too. Let me know. Andy |

Somebody check those boys' belts tension. Loose is where it's at. Disconnect the shock and lift the rear tire through it's entire throw. The belt is just right when it don't cause any tension in lifting the tire through the center of the arc. Forget the manuals method and NEVER trust your local dealer. Take it to Franks house. |

Got my bike home today. It is wonderful to not smell burning oil when I ride, and to not have a white cloud of oil smoke burning off the cylinder when I pull into the garage. However, the dealer did WAY overfill the oil, so I need to drain some tomorrow. |

Cereal, Shazam is the man! I figured that if he didn't have a belt, I would have you check with Frank. Speaking of Frank, I guess he waited for us til 7:30 on Friday, so I got to here him wine Saturday, when I got to work. I told him that's what he gets for being a CAR PUNK!!!! To the my fellow SOAKED SIX PACK, once again, thanks for riding Friday! In my opinion that was still better then just bickering on he frigging computer. Let's do this again. Who knows maybe we could get a few more to come over to the darkside. Mr.Fischer, good to see you today sir! Now let's get some miles on that XB. I'm going to get your turn signals for the front, what was the part # for your helmet, we got busy at the store today and I forgot. Sorry, my bad. Dasbuell, good to see you today! Thanks again for the sling bag. Now I just have to keep it hid from my wif. If she see's it, it'll be a goner for sure. Did you guy's make it over to Dennis' today? Should've went with you. Worked on the mustang for four hours and the thing still isn't fixed.Just need a bigger hammer! |

We didn't make it to Dennis's house today, I had a graduation party I had to attend and JJ and Larry didn't get home until later tonight and then boxing was on. If JJ can get a hold of Dennis we will go over there tomorrow. |
