For those not familiar with Waterloo, IA. our BattleTrax courses are set up on a large, closed casino parking lot. There is lots of area for courses long enough to be fun and technical enough to be challenging. After attending BattleTrax at last year's Homecoming, our courses are much longer and than those. Come on down, hotel accomidations are almost within sight of the event, the Buell dealership is just down the road, fuel is close also and the ever friendly IOWA FARM MAFIA boys are here to help where we can!! |

P.S. Getting here is easy also. You can see the event location and the dealership from the intersection of Highways 63 & 20. |

These battletrax events are always a blast. Craig, Ralph, Jeremy, Dave (when he was there) and many others whose names I forget make the Waterloo events awesome. A friendly family atmosphere dosed with adrenaline. Everyone should experience it if they can. |

What a blast! Day was full of sun, but very windy. Our BattleMaster JeremyW took a bunch of great pictures among other jobs throughout the day. As an example:

What's with you guys bustin my balls? hahaha Craig and Ryan, I didn't make it to Battletrax because it's a five hour ride each way, on an as yet untested motor, or a similar drive with the wife and 3 mo. old. (which makes it an overnighter). Did I want to go? Hell yeah! . I went to the Dragstrip Fri night which is 30 min from my house, the wife actually wanted to see it. when i got home i put a cover on the bike and didn't unwrap it again til tues. night. It was the first chance I got to roll the motor and install new rear headerbolts.......after about 100 total miles mine were missing. That trip to Iowa would've sucked had this happened on the way. My wife is going through a little post-part'm and the less I "take off for a weekend" right now the better. I hope things get a little smoother before Laguna, as I planned this trip before the baby re-prioritized our lives. I am really looking forward to the Races, I haven't been since daytona in '98. I also can't wait to meet more badwebbers. I have no idea where RA is but I am sure it's a multiple day excursion, which right now is not an option for me. Unless of course I am taking the wife somewhere to do what she wants. If sometime you guys want to make a trip to KC, I will reciprocate with this Offer: Free lodging Free food Free beer (if your inclined) Good Friends Good Hospitality 1 good road (13 times as many curves as the whole state of Iowa) Bike to ride if you don't bring yours.... how's that?

Boomer sorry to hear about your "little accident". Ralph stopped by and told us. Don't you know those are dangerous? Just ask Dave. Hope you heal up good as new soon. |

Ya I guess your right Sammy, Elkhart Lake would be a couple day jaunt. Maybe next year we can get together! You can stay here in Sterling for a nites rest then head up. Well maybe sometime I'll come down. We usually go to St. Loius twice a year. How far from there are you? Ryan |

Thanks, guys. I'm doing OK. It just seems that ever since last Sunday, the weather has gotten better and I can't ride. I'm more disappointed than anything. I wanted to ride more on Sunday. That was a great track and the Pilot Powers were really sticking. What really got me excited was that I was less than two seconds away from the winner and I only ran the course four times. Well, I go to the Dr. on Friday and find out more then. Kandie - Glad to see you are up and about. Mike |
