Duane, like i said before, get weller soon. you're one of the first Buellers i ever met back when i was "professional" Ferris Bueller, and you NEED to be in the wind. Steve and Duane (with apologies to Erik), the FJR is Quite The Machine. have only had mine about a month and a half, so still learning the ropes, but it rocks. all-day ergos (for one OR two), 6.6 gals of fuel capacity, ABS (optional), heated grips (optional), shaft drive, windshield that adjusts with the push of a button, rooooomy easy-off/easy-on hard-bags, and 127 hp and 90 ft lbs at the back tire (per Motorcyclist). best of all, you get all this in a bike that is capable of hanging with the best sportbikes with the baddest riders on the gnarliest roads. THIS i know from first-hand experience. Steve, i've already heard of the FJR on the floor at Destination -- you're not the first Buell rider i know that's been sniffing around it. one aggressive test ride, i suspect, and it'll have a new home. ride to lean, FB

Duane, glad to see you are up and around. Keep up the good spirits. Chris, Loni, ... give me a shout when you're back in town. Now that Pamela actually has her endorsement (she apparently was the speed demon of her class) and done some test rides, she's a bit more interested in the sv650 if it's still for sale. She drove one at a dealer in Seattle but I think she was a bit intimidated and nervous since it was a brand new bike. Anyway, I'd like to chat more about the suzki when you have a chance. cheers all, Eric |

Just walked over there and "my" FJR has a "Sold/Hold" tag with a name of Shelton on it. Must be lining up some financing. Oh well, there's still one down the street at the Yamahaha dealer too. Fine looking machine. |

OK, I've been working out the bugs on some prototype games for SPLASH. Stuff to do back at the motel... Theryn and I call this one 'FireDance' Just soak an old tennis ball in lighter fluid, and as the Frenchies say, Abaracadabra! The rules are simple, light, and kick! Best not to catch the ball... And when the balls inevitable end arrives and it is no longer able to roll...soak the sucker. sooner, Galen |

Steve- Stay away from that FJR, you will have way too much fun on it! The boys helped me the other weekend with repacking the can (let me tell ya, that was very interesting). With thier 4 good hands and my 1 good hand it only took us a couple of hours. In a holding pattern for the rest. Still not able to pull in the clutch so if I don't do anything else to it right now, I won't be so tempted to try and ride it. Thanks for so much for the offer! |

Not much input about where to have BRAG meetings, so I say we meet at the Old Market Brew Pub and get a group opinion of it. - Old Market Pub & Brewery (503) 452-2837 6959 SW Multnomah Blvd, Portland, OR 97223

Just home from the dentist. She kept 6 teeth. Crappy design flaw, if you ask me! Should have been made of a tougher material. Anywho I expect to be in fine form to meet the Creator on Sat. Won't matter that I won't be able to talk since I'll just be groveling any way. DownTown HD is pretty cool in that they support the Buell in us all. Almost got mine yesterday dept. Was crusin' down the road, about 40 in a 30, when this f-150 pulled up to the cross street I was aproaching and stoped at the stop sign. There were a couple cars moving toward me and stop sign boy, and I thought ' well, he could make it out in front of them, but he won't, 'cause then we'd be occupying the same space at the same time, right?' Well about this time he guns it out into the traffic. I groan "no,,," and grab the binders. Front and rear tire are hoppin down the bunny trail and I dive right and we don't collide. Now this is the interesting part to me. I traditionaly get REALLY MAD at cagers that try to kill me. And at first I was rummageing through battle plans deciding how to take my Rightous Revenge, and then I thought 'that goob must have really not seen me'. So at the next light I pulled up by him and asked, and he said, "you were coming down that road?" shock. suprise. duh. He said he'd be more carefull in the future. That's nice. sooner, Galen |
