Drake Tim did get caught in the rain on Saturday night! It was funny when he pulled up he gave me the "why didn't you run out in the rain to open the garage for me look." |

I checked the map. It looks like you could go from KC to Waterloo in a long day of riding...... Are there any closer battleTrax ? |

I think Waterloo is only a 4hr ride away, that's not too bad. |

Sam, I've been to the BattleTrax web site. They don't show a typical layout or what you really do. Can you expand on this? I'd like to do one or two of these, but it would require me to take another vacation day to return home. Or to trailer the bike to make the ride back Sunday night a bit easier. Do you triler your bike there, or just take 3 days to do this? When a dealership sponsors a BattleTrax, is it held at the dealership itself? Gails has the nice Riders Edge lot, but it appears to be in use every weekend. If they aren't held AT the dealership, the State Patrol has a HUGE lot where they do CDL testing Mon-Fri but not weekends, where 291 and 470 split apart in Lees Summit. I wonder if they could be convinced to let us use it on the weekend? (Message edited by dustyjacket on May 10, 2005) |

I spoke with Craig while in Wisconsin and he indicated they would be having another BattleTrax later in the summmer. I think it was in August. I'm heading to Memphis to see "The Art of The Motorcycle", and then to OK City, so I can not make this May event. Should be a blast to go watch Sam collect more first place trophies. |

I wont be there....unfortunately, as these are SOOOO much fun Bill, It is a course set up in a large parking lot using chalk and cones, your charge is to complete the course in the fastest time, or as consistently as possible depending on whose running it, I don't do so well on consistency. think barrel racing for horsies....lots of very sharp turns and most always in one gear. don't fall down/don't hit the cones. |

Sam - sounds fun. Maybe the KC Mobbers could find a place to play one weekend and set up a layout just to play practice with. |

Bill you sound like a member of the KC Fiddy's. Fiddy riders are always looking for places to ride. The problem is finding a place!! |

Actually, finding a place is easy, not getting kicked out is the hard part. |

Hanses25 - not quite that bad, I think. (What is the thrill of riding those tiny things, anyway?) I just don't want to have to do hours on a highway to get to where I want to ride, and the streets around here still have sand and gravel from the winter. But, I go places anyhow - I am combining riding and geocaching when I can...... Perhaps the "least" of KCs Least Wanted......... |

Not until I get at least one ride with the mob. I won't feel like a mobber until then...... |

Craig, you doing loaner bikes for a seasoned vet? mine is in Colorado........unless....someone in the mob would care to loan me a bike, It doesn't have to be hopped up, and if it already has scratches all down one side that would be good. someone likes me that much.....someone? Tell Doug I may make it after all....someone? |

Bill, we need to have a BBQ, then you'll see whats fun with regard to the fiddy. I can't wait to chat with ya after your first ride with the MOB. I think my first words after my first MOB ride where. "I CANT BELIEVE I'M ALIVE, OR NOT IN JAIL." Sam I do like ya, but not enough to let ya ride my bike in a timed event. Un-timed no problem, but timed no way. |

Sam, it's good to see you online before 1am. You need to bring the little one and your fiddy over to our place one night this week when it's nice out and get in some fiddy time. |

Sam, I'm supposed to go on a MC trip that weekend, but if I bail out, you're welcome to my bike. The front tire is in pretty rough shape (11,000 miles), but if that doesn't bother you, have at it. Just don't break anything important. I should know if I'm going on this trip by the end of the week. Let me know if you're interested. |

Im sure most of you received the e-mail from Roger telling of Fuel Magazine showing up at the BRAG meeting this month. It is probably due to the Buell demo guys saying it was the best supported demo they have ever had, those of you thinking only negatively will undoubtedly come up with any other reason than that for Fuel being there. It would be nice to see a group of BUELL Riders there,in support of the group. Those who show up,it will be nice to see you there. Those who for whatever reason decide not to show up..........oh well........ |

Richie, I believe that the Club will take a group photo to be submitted to Fuell for a future feature. I also think the photo date will be discussed at the meeting, since not all the wanted and "unwanted" are on the mailing list. Tim, it would be a shame to not have that "new" yellow XB9RS in a photo in Fuell. Did you locate some tape today. |

Here the deal with the Photo shoot for Fuell... The last club photo we did was nothing less than poor planning by the dealership. They waited to tell us the deadline at the last minute... so many people were not able to make it. Some people do have a lot going on in their lives and as I remember it we have at least half a dozen show who were not members, but were in the photo. I will make it if I can and if I don't it doesn't make me any less of a member!!! So not a big deal! I have heard enough of the negative comments that some people keep dragging back up for discussion on this board and you know who you are!! It OK to have an opinion, but sometimes it better to keep it to yourself. Instead of stirring the pot!!

I have to disagree with you Thunder, Isn't it everyones opinions that make this Forum? What's the point of just making nice talk and avoiding issues. |

I am with Jeff,it would be nice to get back the fun we used to have and drop all of the negative stuff and have fun like we used to. I remember when we were a group of fun loving people that used to get together and ride and have a blast even before there was a club. I think it would be nice if we picked a new Pres for the club and Gails would set up some fun events for us so we can come out and enjoy. They have the staff and they know we will spend money if we come out so maybe they can help us put some fun back into the club. If they do it shows they care and money is not the only motivation. It would be win win for everyone!! I realy would like to see more smiles on everyones faces not only from riding but the service Gails can give to the customers they depend on for a strong future. I am ready to smile how about the rest of you guys and ladys? (Message edited by s2scott on May 10, 2005) |

Larry, I think what Jeff means (and this is not directed at any one individual)is that most of us log on here day in and out for the camaraderie, as a source of entertainment, and a chance to communicate with individuals we wouldn't normally see or hear from otherwise. This site means alot to a bunch of people...nobody is saying you can't have an opinion, just don't p|ss on the carpet and make the whole fu(king room stink for weeks... Personally, I'll find something else to do when this place burns down....but I'll miss it and you guys. all of you guys! Craig, Seriously I won't be seeing any "free" time for a while yet. Tell Ralphie and Doug and Wik, and everybody I said hello. |

I was going to try and have a BBQ at my house in June, but the harder I try to make it happen, the more my job and other crap get in the way. I just found out I have to drive to Dallas for a business seminar from June 20-24, plus have a wedding, new grandchild due and some other stuff clogging up the month of June for me. Insult to injury, I still do not have my X1W road worthy, too many projects piled up at the welding shop, since I am not a paying customer, just a friend of the owner borrowing the equipment, I am last on the list to get anything done. |
