Does anyone here know the part number for the "plug" seal that goes in the end of the main drive gear assembly? My local joke of a HD shop can't seem to get this figured out. I even took the factory '95 S2 shop manual in and showed them a picture and the exploded diagram! I told one of the counter guys it was the same as a Sportster, thinking this might help. He replied "Telling me all the bikes that it fits won't help me find it any faster!" Maybe if I would have beat him bloody that would have helped. Needless to say I done giving them my money. Sorry to rant, its been a long day. Thanks in advance Tom |

your talking about the one that is behind the drive pully correct? if so, the old part number is 12067a that should get you to the new part number..... tell him to just punch it in and hit f7 lmao |

If you are looking for the seal that is about same OD as the mainshaft needle bearing, it is part number 12030. Or at least that is it for 2001 bike. Since there is no suffix, I believe it should be same for all years. |

Thanks guys! I am after the one that fits in the end of the main drive gear to "plug the hole" where the needle bearings are pressed in. Mine disappeared during a ride last Saturday and the sportrans fluid started finding its way out of the trans. I got the big case-to-pulley spacer seal since I have it apart, but they couldn't seem to come up with the other seal. I think Crw is on the right track. |
