Went for a spin today as i have been playing with my suspension settings to get rid of a wiggle at 100. Did a few runs slowly adjusting the set up, it was pretty windy but nice and dry to play around in the twisty bits and few faster places. Well i was doing 90 and glanced back before changing lanes and woof up pops my visor and goodbye! go my glasses. Now its a quick visit to the optician and a large bill(£120) for new specs. Should have gone to the bike rally with the rest of my mates it would have been cheaper to get P***ed all weekend. And i still did not reach a final set up. Still lesson learned at speed LOCK the visor shut or loose your glasses!

Oh great, my crappy helmet doesn't even have a visor lock. Fortunately, it is as aerodynamic as a brick wall and keeps me from getting up to any good speed by attempting to part my head from my neck so I guess I'm safe.

Laser eye surgery = no more specs. Problem solved.

Half-way there. I switched to contacts.

LOVE the peripheral vision I've regained!

Why do I have the feeling that contacts without eyeglass type goggles would rip out of your eyes if you did what Bristol XB did. Especially the soft lenses.

I wear contacts, and I had a helmet with a visor that would flip up if I looked over my shoulder at speed. I never had a problem with my contacts. They stayed on, but I sure did get rid of that helmet quickly. I now have one that keeps the visor down even going way too fast.

I second the eye surgery suggestion. Wish I would have done it earlier!
