I didn't win any of the parts I was bidding on. I didn't even pay attention to the auctions this weekend. I just set my prices and let it go. I did get a second chance email to buy the pulley cover for $100, but I think I'll pass because the part from American Sport Bike is only $175. |

I won the CF intake (item# 4544028220), waiting for shipping. |

I noticed that he's also raised his shipping rates to $14.95 and up. I suppose he doesn't feel he is making enough profit on the parts so he is trying to make up for it in the shipping. |

The deal is that on e-bay you pay 3% to e-bay for whatever the final selling price is. But shipping charges are not included in taht so sell it at a loss but make it up in S&H fees. |

Yes, but I believe ebay also has a policy in regards to shipping charges. I can't seem to find it right now on their site, but I believe it is against their policy to charge excessive shipping and handling. Let's face it, do you think ebay is going to let you get away with selling an item for $1 and charging $99 for shipping and handling if the value of the item is $100? They want their share. I'd be willing to bet that if someone notified ebay of this seller and their shipping rates that ebay might look into it. |

All that would happen is the seller would just set up under another seller name and start over. it happens all the time on e-bay and $15 is really not that excessive. Look up the Buell neon type signs if you want to see excessive. remember the guy selling the Baker 6 speeds trans for $100 but something like $2000 in shipping costs? $15 is expensive when it's a set of heel guards. |

Aand they wait 7 days just to ship it out. I won the item on 4-16-05 (saturday), I just got an email today telling me it just shipped. Well, 6 days, I know sundays don't count. |

What's the latest verdict on the carbon stuff? Worth it? I am looking into buying some of it myself - mainly for looks and would love to get a heads up. Mike |

Thanks Mike. I'll just have to take a grinder to the inside carefully. |
