I have a Buell pro series race kit that I am thinking of putting on my '05 CityX and I was curious is anyone knows what kind of increases in HP and Torque I should expect. I have looked everywhere and can't find any numbers or dyno sheet should difference between stock and with the kit. Also, is there any other unstated mods that should accompany the race kit.

There is a new ECM for the 9sx different then the previous 9 series race ECM's. The bike will run pretty well with the old ECM, but is noticeably better behaved with the right (new) one.

I don't think the exhaust changed, you are good there with any of the 9 series race exhausts. You are supposed to pull the snorkel for the race kit, and if you don't mind the noise, others have had good luck cutting away the inner airbox cover, lots of pictures in the knowledge vault.

I would guess the whole package is lucky to pick up more then 5 horsepower or so up top, but perk up the midrange nicely. It does make the bike feel... 'edgier' though, a little more high strung and ready to jump.

Here is the URL of the Buell site that shows the race Kit:
http://www.buell.com/en_us/bikes_gear/accessories/productslist.asp?Menu_ID=4&ID= 1701&MITEM=75&bike_id=1#

Click on "Performance Chart" on the left side of the page, near the middle, and you will see the factory dyno chart.

The factory graph, shows a slight increase in mid range torque, eliminating a dip. Slightly higher horsepower. Don't be surprised if you find these graphs to be a bit optimistic.
However, I think the race kit is great, adds a nice sound, not too loud, ( I live in a very small village), and the bike runs better all around. The instructions recommend removing the snorkle, a rubber tube in the intake tract between the air intake scoop and the air box. Nice thing about the race kit is that it is a no brainer, just install it, reset the throttle position sensor, (TPS) at the dealer, and you are good to go - usually.

Don't worry about it. Just put the kit on and ride the F out of it.
