Just ride the speed limit and obey the traffic laws. You don't have to stop riding. |

Ted Funny. But yeah maybe a name change is in order. My town is tough man, the cops here are big time ball busters, I have to stay below the radar. Im a little scared about the initial pay cut, I will be losing 1 little over 20k the first year so its going to be tough but I will eventually make up for it. ughhh now i have to start running on a daily basis |

Doughnut, Hang in there man, it took me 9 years. But I ended up getting the job for the town I live in so thats a plus. It took a friend of mine 6 years. Its not easy to get in, lots of bs politics involved. |

BTW, how come your switching from an Engineering job to this? BTW, know about the politics too. I tried to get into the Corrections Academy. Got a nice fancy letter saying I was rejected. Ah well, back to school I go. Thinking about Mechanical Engineering. |

BTW, how come your switching from an Engineering job to this? Ive been involved in t-com in one way or another for the past 15 years, 8 of them in the military and the rest working for a couple wireless companies. I hate it. Good money but the long hours sitting behind a pc working with people who barely speak english and the lack of growth opportunity in my field, made my decision easy. Also the fact that my boss is banging a co-worker and she is getting special treatment really pisses me off. I think now is the time to leave for me before I let the whole company know that the VP of operations is screwing a direct report. and theyre both married. Its not speculation either, i have the emails, the text messages and even the phone convo's recorded. So thats why I decided to leave. To move up in this business it literally its "who you blow" |

Got1.. Hang in there.. Now the work begins.. but if you're ever down this way and just wanna unwind a little.. drop me a line.. I'll show ya some roads.. Or we could hit a little range time.. or.. well.. I haven't been to a 'choir practice' in a long time.. but you get the drift.. Best of luck.. and remember everything. Then forget a lot of it.. (once your on the street) but remember it all none the less.. if you know what I mean. Last thought.. That kind of work, despite the low pay, can be VERY rewarding in other ways. Sometimes, just doing one thing to help someone out and having it work.. well.. you'll see what I mean. Later, |

Bomber, not too sure how its working out, I have certainly got a little more mellow over the last few years, and definately more sane with 2 events, the first one was when I wen tinot the navy 6 years ago, teh second was 23 months ago, when my daughter was born... Now I find all my time looking forward to the week here of there I can spend with my daughter. I agree with the fact that some of our jobs while not being anywhere on the safe list can be rewarding. I spent this past winter in South East Asia, providing security escort to the Hospital Ship Mercy( a sad fact, that I wont discuss here), BUT, it was definately nice, in my line of work trying to help people for a change, rather than doing our "normal" operations.. So, will it actually work, I dont know, but I am locked in untill nov '08, so I will make the best of it, and deal witht he rest as the time comes.. just trying not to orphan my daughter Sorry for the hijack Again bro, good luck, and good on ya.. BTW, where is woodbridge? CA? Chase |

Hey- Congrats on the job... Cops like Buells too! I thought I'd get smarter as I got older, too... I thought that if I was a cop I wouldn't have to worry about BS, Politics, or the Bosses screwing co-workers... Oh, Well.... I guess I thought wrong again... |
