Reliable rumors will become available sometime in July, or not. Rumors of V3 dirtbikes not withstanding. |

I was at the demo ride this weekend and no one is saying any thing just smileing. All that was said was IF anything is coming we will here about it when they do. Other than that I had a great time. Not many showed up so got to ride all of the Buells. The City X was great. Especially when we were on the back part of the loop and the roads still had some of the winter damage. The other bikes were sometimes tossed around by the cracks, gaps in the road. The City X was much better. The wider tire in the front makes all the difference in the world. I did not like the rideing position of the lightning but thats my preferance. I did like the XB12s and the xb12scg. however hp / torque aside I have to say that I was quite suprised at how much I liked the City X. I thought it would feel too tall but trying is believeing. |

Lucky, Your profile says you have a 2005 XB9R. If you are happy with the fit and style of your bike then just keep riding it. http://www.ironvalleyh-d.com/ might be your dealership, I have no idea how they are doing with Buell sales and support, but if you're happy with them then all is good. It's still early in the riding season for most of us, and July will be here soon enough. I'd suggest just riding your bike as is and start making a list of the stuff you want to do and wait for July to arrive. Then next fall as the riding season winds down you'll either have a list of upgrades to do to the bike over the winter, or will be on a new bike by then. It's probably a little late in the pre-season to do any major upgrades to your current bike without impacting the riding season. Ride and enjoy. |

I would be willing to bet any new models will be quipped with a front and rear tire... |

Do you really think those that actually know are allowed to say anything? Even when someone sees the new models they get explicitly told that THEY DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING. |

just keep riding and when you realize there is no rubber left on your new 9r then it will probably be July and you will know the 06 resaults. I just start watching the Buell Website on July 10-about the 18 and it will be updated i'm sure the day its official. It was last year so i don't see why it wouldn't be this year. |

I'm on the bike all the time. I'll try to hold out till July before a I buy another bike but it's going to be hard. Although I've done what I can to set up my 12S for sport commuter/touring duty it will never be a two up mount. Please Buell, a capable sport tourer with real bags and such. I do dearly love the 12S for what it is, a damn fine, fun little bike. |

Lucky, you have a 9 and want more power? I mean that is your statement in your profile. Buy a 12 and you shall receive more power. |

I think the 9 an the 12 are both under powered it was a general statement to a general question. I am sorry i would like my 984cc bike to be able to keep up with a 600 cc bike. And if they do before you say they do. Why hasn't one finished an ama race this year yet. |

The proper question is why hasn't one STARTED an AMA race this year yet. For the answer, check the other threads... |

Oh, and a nine or a twelve will Walk TF away from any 600 I've ever been around on my favorite stretch of road... They pull away just a little on the LONG straights, but other than those, it's all about the Buells. |

I posed the question to Erik Buell a couple of weeks ago about what we could expect in July, with a sly grin he replied... good riding weather ! |

I'm going to go out on a limb here... I think there is a little more to Court's skid steer reference then just being flippant. Particularly the principles involved to drive the skid steer. Then again... I could be wrong. |

I am about two weeks from buying a new Harely "Street Rod" unless I hear something about the new Buells that would make me reconsider. Win Win for me no news get a new harley, good news from buell get a new buell. I assume that they will make more next year and if they are really nice, getting a second year production run is not a huge hardship. I generally buy something in the spring, altho in Minnesota spring is a little later in the year. |

Lucky, so what area you in? I am in Federick Co. MD. Oh,as for rumors, Someone who is "Supposed " to be more informed than most, hinted at a "Sport tour XB model", but, who knows. I would just like more POWER. ar ar ar |

Lucky, I am originally from that area, but moved to the midwest for school, a job and back and forth, back and forth. Too confusing to explain. If you shoot me a PM and give me your contact info, I can pass that on to a few buddies who I know will ride with ya. Cataract, I design stuff that could definitely twist up those roads... Court, When you're out for homecoming, swing back here and I'll give you a great tour... Lots and lots of stuff for your construction job... Alex |
