Now that's funny! So does that mean that you'd be washing my bike and buying dinner |

Bike washing maybe... Buying dinner? I think I will try hard not to earn that privlage. BTW I was watching video of other riders at Blackhawk. I am so ready to go it is killing me. I probably shouldn't have told my wife about how the bikes go 100+ on the straights... She has never been around anything like this. |

We gave away the Demo bags to everyone who took a test ride, including all the folks that helped. The bags are a minimal cost to the dealers and we get full reimbursement. As long as you fill out the form, the dealership gets all of their money back. On another note, the dealership DOES NOT have to pay for any bike damaged in the demo fleet. I believe you were blown some smoke on that one. Our demo events are fun and profitable. We also paid for all volunteers lodging and food for the entire weekend. The whole weekend cost about $4,000. A 30 second radio spot is only slightly less with not near the exposure. I still have about 200 bags left. I have sent some to guys on the Badweb who's local dealers are not participating. Free sling bag = Happy customers. If someone needs one send me a private email and I will send one to you. I have already sent 1 to Canada and 1 to South Africa. |

Gee, Clown, what are you saying? The dealers job is to make their customers happy? What a concept! |

Sling bag? Test ride? HA! I'll never see that promotion at my dealer. Never saw a goddanm hat from the last one. Guess that's why I'm the only Buell rider in a metropolitan area of 250,000+ people. Bob |

Hello Cameron, I was wondering if I could get one of the sling bags to my good buddy in Sallisaw, OK. He is a Buell enthusiast ('00 Millenium) without any "participating dealers" in the area. His name is Mike Hancock, Rt.3 Box 36, Sallisaw, OK 74955. I'll be going to Austin HD for my demo and bag. If you can do it, thanx in advance; if not, I understand! Thanx again. |

Hey Daves... IF I were to testride your XB12 at Blackhawk farms For the day would that count as a test ride? I would only need a few hours |

My wife and I test rode more XB12's last season than I can count, both R & S models. I did it specifically for the sling bag. I got ONE sling bag between the two of us. None of the other dealers carried them. It was very disappointing. I ended up buying a new '03 XB9S a few weeks ago...at the dealer that gave me the sling bag last season. I ended up with a couple of more when I bought the bike. I actually like the configuration of last year's bag. Kinda cool, I gave them to my kids. |

Dave, I do. I went to a participating dealer somewhat near me and asked for a bag, even though I already own a xb and it was pouring out all day today, I asked for one. I would have filled out all the paper work but the salesman wouldn't budge. |

HINT: To those of US (I am one of them) who tagged Clown for the slingbag, let's consdier making some kind of purchases from SMHD/B. Two elements, "thanks" and helps defray their cost of packaging and shipping. Just a "two way street" sort of thought. Court |

Unfortunately, my participating dealer would not let me get a sling bag since in my current condition I am not able to actually test ride the bike. I know DaveS has one pulled aside for me, and I am glad to see that you care just as much for your customers as he does. Thank you both Clown and Bunny for once again restoring our faith in our dealers. |

C, Thanx very much for your kind gesture in sending the sling bag to a Buell owner with no participating dealers close! I appreciate it. Best Regards, Rock |

i think i'd up to a 12r in a heartbeat if i could. but i owe on my 9r and would have to trade it in or something. the closest dealer to me (where i bought my bike) is one of those dealers that is giving up buells. they have one 12r that they are trying to get rid of. and have a great deal on. but they won't take my 9r in on trade, wich is understandable i guess. maybe when i have more miles under my belt i'll move to a 12r. |
