Hey! I represent that comment! Plus, if you checked out the photos I posted from the Twisted Texas BRAG Adventure and Thrills In The Hills IV in the Tale Section, you'd know that I have since lost over 20 pounds, and congratulate me instead! Brings a whole new dimension to the term, "Tuber." Hey, nothing personal, J. I just prefer my naked motorcycle models to be of the busty female persuasion. |

I’m hauling my bike and girlfriend to Round Rock Saturday morning to ride Hwy 1431 and 29 to Llano. We’re going to stop and watch the Eagles and eat lunch in Llano. If anyone is in the area keep an eye out for us. We’ll both have white helmets. |

Hey fellows I'm back from Thailand. Boy is the west coast of that country wiped out. Pictures on T.V. don't do it justice how much damage those waves made.I had a great time in my off hours. If you have never been I highly recommend it. The people are as good as you will ever meet and the country is beautiful. Did any of ya'll make the rode trip to Brenham? I don't see any postings from the D/FW guys. I look forward to putting some miles on the bike once the jet lag wears off. Hope to see you all soon. |

Glad you're back and safe, Navy! I don't know of anyone who went to Brenham. Let's plan a DFW Buellers ride in the coming weeks! I went on a ride with the Fellowship Riders (church group on Hogs) up to Sherman, over some great roads to the NE of DFW - surprised me how fun the roads were, but I didn't get to go nearly as fast as I'd like. I'd like to ride with a good size group of Streetfighters again, so let's make it happen! Dago, Cowtown, Kevin, Jared, Jrr, Jonny, Laura (are you back?) and anyone else in the DFW area - are you in??? I recently met a guy from Rowlett who has a yellow S1 (Greg? Sorry, I'm old and forget my own name occasionally...) - Post up and let's get our ride on!

Hey, Dave! Has it finally warmed up in your neck of the woods? Not done any wheelies lately? BTW - You're the main contributor to my XB looking and performing the way it does, so - if I haven't told you recently - THANKS!!! Now I need new tires... Have a great day! |

Welcome back Navy. I've heard the same reports about Thailand many times, and am glad to hear it still rings true. The bike's lookin' good Chris. Mine's in the shop right now getting the 10k, new belt, diablo corsas, ceramic header, race pipe, and the race ecm. Dean at D&S is going to do 4th and 5th gear pulls on his in-house dyno before and after the modifications. It'll be interesting to see the results. I'll post them to the XBoard when I get my copies. I choose the buell race pipe since it seems to give the most up high without loosing any bottom or mid. Hopefully this will be the case for me since I spend most of my "fun time" above 4000 rpm. |

Hey Everybody... This group I rode with back in March is going on a ride this saturday. They do monthly rides. It's a christian group called 'Fast Lane'. Don't worry, they don't preach at ya, the only thing I noticed is they said a prayer at lunch. The ride is this saturday May 14th. The ride is going to start at the Cracker Barrel in Arlington at Bowen and I-20. It'll start at 9:00am and we'll stop at a gas station on the north side of Fort Worth about 9:30, southeast corner of north loop 820 and Azle Rd FM1220,if anybody wants to meet us there. The flyer says it'll be about a 6 hour ride on hwy 4 with a stop at Tommies Burgers... It is a sport bike ride and they do a good 'pace'although I couldn't keep up on a few of the remote straight stretchs. The ride leader seems to really know the roads real well, where to wick it and where to keep cool. I'm planning on going if the weather is good. Yall come if you can I had a good time last time I went out with them. I"ve got a flyer if you want to look at it, it was just too big to post. Send me a mail if you want and I'll send it to ya... Kevin, I was thinking about a ride this weekend and Hwy 4 on Saturday sounds good. Send me the info. I don't mind being thankful for my food. Does any of you Northern Metroplex guys have a ride planned this weekend? |

Cowtown, sent ya a mail. I think I posted that Dallas HD/Buell had stopped selling Buells.Somebody told me that a few months ago. I needed to get some warranty work done so I happened to call them and they still work on them. I didn't go in and look, just dropped off the bike, but the girl on the phone said they had a good number on the floor. She mentioned something about new owners and that they had maybe been low on bikes(buells that is) but now had more and had never quit selling or servicing them...After making a few phone calls, it seems that either Corinth or the two Dallas HD stores are our only local Buell dealers. Longhorn and Fort Worth both have dropped out... I'll let yall know how my dealings with Dallas go... Kevin |

He does suck Johnny. FYI, I'm doing this on June 3rd: http://www.lonestartrackdays.com/html/index2.html I don't think it'll be as nice of an experience as the Ducati day Cowtown did. But I'm itchin to get on the track with the new rubber & race kit. A little bit of instruction will be nice too. There are still a few slots left I think. |

The weather wasn't as bad as predicted. Kevin, did you go with your group? I couldn't start a ride until after 1PM, as I was helping my wife get ready for a bridal shower for a cousin of hers. I rode around 300 miles today - 67, 4, 377 (stopped by Motorsport Ranch and watched the cars race for awhile). Just putt-putted around...it was beautiful! Nope, bike is sitting over in Dallas with a fried stator and regulator, grrrrr. Cowtown was talking about going, although I haven't talked to anybody... I'm going to call Dallas tomorrow as a couple of people on this board have said that the stators are on backorder, I'll find out tomorrow I hope... To add insult to injury, I got in a OPS pipe friday to put on my bike. Now if I only had the bike... Kevin |

Just thought I'd throw in my HD Dallas (Garland store) experience. Took the X1 to get inspected. Everything perfect except rear tire, of course. I said go ahead and put one on and I'll pick it up tomorrow. Long story short, the tire had to be ordered and it took nearly two weeks. To be fair, service writer Steve Hauk did keep me up-to-date on the status. Naturally, when I went to pick it up the battery was down. Steve got it fired up and it's been fine since. I was a bicycle mechanic for several years and know what it's like not to be able to get what the customer needs.} |

Anyone going to the Texas Ducati Trackday on Monday May 23rd at the Motorsport Ranch in Cresson? If so, I’ll see you there. There’s still plenty of room. |

Well, I told yall I'd let you know about my Dallas HD experience. I'd have to give them a thumbs down. I picked up my bike friday evening. The clutch was left completely loose. I thought it was just adjusted loosely but the jam nut was on the other end of the theaded area. I tightened it up in the restarant parking lot. When I changed out the harley sport trans fluid this evening, there were two gaskets on the clutch insp cover??? I was having a real pain getting it to down shift so I'm hoping it was the fluid, that harley stuff looked like dirty thin creek water. The 3 bolts on the insp cover were pretty loose and they had spilled tranny fluid on the rubber shifter knob. I kept wondering why my foot felt like it was slipping off on upshifts??? They stripped a bolt on the pulley cover. It looked like they had used some kind of inpact driver as the bolt heads had cuts on them??? I don't know why they even had it off??? And they left every bolt on the chin fairing loose. I had stripped out one of the front chin fairing bolts so they either left the other one out or it was so loose that it fell out. I cleaned up the bike this evening and was tightening up bolts as I went. I'll probably check the torque on the left side cover but didn't tonight as they're allen head bolts. On some of the previous bolts the black paint on the heads was completely gone, like they had been dragged across the floor or something. On the other hand, they did get the seat back on right and didn't say anything about the tfi as this was warranty work... Take it for what's it's worth, I think I'll try Corinth next time... Not bitching, just letting yall know the 'rest of the story'... Kevin Oh, this was the Garland store... We need to talk Daves into moving down here... |

Sorry to hear that, Kevin. I've had my own woes with service over there, but I have a service agreement I paid for and don't know if I can transfer it or not. Their sister dealership in Allen may do a better job...maybe not. I'm up for my 5k service soon, so I'll see what happens and let y'all know. |
