I think it cost me a front tire though... The sides are all munched eraser looking. I didn't have enough pressure (or temperature) so I kept sliding the front through the turns. Oh well, anything that makes me give it more twist is alright by me . I've gotten to the point that I "enjoy" that feeling that you get when sliding the front and it seems you could do anything with the bars and it won't have any effect. I was surprised the first time it happened because it feels exactly like an under-steering car. It only really gets dis-concerting when I'm sliding the front AND the edge of my foot scrapes. I would rather have it setup to slide the rear though, and the last change I made was to lower the front pre-load one notch. After I did that, I started getting weird wear patterns on the front. I think I'll lower the rear preload one notch too and that should re-balance it. It's funny... the more I learn to ride the thing the closer I get back to the factory setup. |

What are you running for a front tire pressure? |

Well... I don't know what it was at . I set them to 36/36 in the verde valley on the way over to Show-Low. On a warm sunny day I generally set them to 35/35, sometimes 34/35. |

Reminds you alot of the stock Dunlop doesn't it. I ended up finding if I stick with the 36/38 the bike prefers it alot. With the Shinko's the front is an aggressive profile close to a Diablo, yet the rear is a flat profile like the Conti's were. I figured that was why the fronts were wearing to the edges and the rears weren't. BTW if you have questions about that PCIII just ask, and it is a PCIII not a PCII |

It says it's a PCII... On the box and the unit. It looks like it has a Serial port (although I haven't removed the cover). |

The unit is a PCIII per the unit number and the number listed on the box as verified by Dynojet |

Brian and I were kicking around the idea of going up South Mountain real early Sunday morning. He's not sure if he can break loose from the unpacking long enuff to ride, but I'm free if anyone wants to go up. Jeremy, Did you get your bike sorted out? Is it running again? Carey, I'm game, want to meet at the last Gas station/convenience store on Central heading up S. Mtn around 0730? I'm not sure which side of the road it's on, but it ain't hard to spot your bike... |

Turns out that the skipping was caused by a loose battery terminal, it had a sheet of trouble codes all because the thing was loose. i missed out on all those buelltiful twisties for a freakin loose connection. Oh well! I'll get over it. To answer your question Bart and Carey, the fan is not working so they will be keeping it for a few more days. Dave my mechanic of choice said it runs like a raped date, now that the terminal is connected properly. Thx for the concern, we will ride soon Later J (Message edited by buellj79 on April 30, 2005) |

I can't believe that!!!! A loose battery terminal, that sucks!!!! You would not have needed the fan all day saturday if you found that loose terminal. |

Well, someone needs to bring up the back of the pack, and I think I'm just the guy for that job! So assuming I can get out the door at 6:30, I'll see you guys there. I need to break in my new tire... |
