Hey everyone, without opening a huge can o'worms I wanted to get some feedback on the best sounding aftermarket pipes for an XB9S. Currently I have the Buell racing kit on mine but wanted to find out what the general vibe was on other pipes that are available (ie. drummer). Feedback? |

I have a full D&D sytem on my M2 and a D&D slip-on on my XB12R. I love the sound of both. I think the D&D sounds the best of any pipe, and they are very stout. |

Do you think its a big improvement over the racing kit muffler that Buell sells? |

I would have to say the force pipe is definitely the loudest and meanest sounding pipe you can get. The D&D is second to the force also half the price of a force pipe(my $0.02). If you decide to switch to the D&D from the race can get ear plugs. Because they are LOUD. If I had the money I would get a full force system. |

I'll never understand why people install a loud pipe then wear ear plugs isn't the point to enjoy the sound? To me... the D&D sounds sweet, Special O.P.S. sounds sweet, haven't heard a Force in person yet but look out (!) I had to wear ear plugs while listening to an MP3. Hehee. Use Force on the web... The Force is maybe the loudest and meanest sounding. I hear the Becin is quite loud and mean as well... |

go to ebay buell then parts and theres always Force on there but wait to see one that starts at 249.00 and wait until the bidding is almost over I got one system for 249.00 so have others here but Now I see ppl. bidding them way up to 375.00 or even up to 500. but if ya can wait You will get one for 249.00 or there abouts and NOthing compares to the sound of them ... Not even the D&D I run my with the stock header and works great , however you do get the header with the item , but wd. also get the baffle for an extra 50.00 bucks he will throw one in after the bidding if ya want, don````t make it any quieter though so don`t think it will.... But some say is better for street use... I see they also come with REd high temp. rubber strips now so ask for them as well might help with the brackets But not sure as the brackets were a plm.... |

Dcentric Are you looking for the loudest pipe? If your looking for a high performance pipe, with a great sound, buy a Drummer! |

force is loud and sounds real good. I am running the baffle in mine. I may play with it and see if packing it will quiet it down some. I like the pipe loud but my neighbors don't. |

i've listened to a buddies D&D and my force...personally, i prefer my force...without the baffle...misato has some good video with sound on his website of a gen 1 force on his 9s...i think the web address is www.xb9s.com i think this link will take you straight to the sound... http://www.xb9s.com/pics/nallin/pipe.MPG Misato...hope you dont' mind...but your sound bite was the whole reason I bought the pipe...it is even more wicked in person...the only problem i've had is permagrin everytime i fire it up... ciao, --ts here's a link to the force with baffle installed http://www.xb9s.com/movies/bike/quiet.MPG hope this helps some of you other loud lovers... |

M1combat They had a complete Becin system on Tripp Noble's bike @ Tilleys. On back to back runs on the dyno, the new loud Drummer with a stock header beat the Becin. Becin system $1300.00 Drummer $400.00 My Two Cents $0.00 |

First of all let me say thanks to all you guys for piping in. I have only owned my Buell for about 5 months and was considering upgrading the sound/performance. I like the current state but things could ALWAYS be better. Norris, I'd say that my priorities are in this order: 1. Sound 2. Performance 3. Aesthetics I am pleased with the current performance though I dont want anything that would sacrifice the performance for the sound alone. |

I know you guys probably think I'm crazy but I rather like my Jardine on my XB12R. It's definitely loud enough. In fact I think I really need to start wearing earplugs. Performance wise, well let's just say that my bike runs really strong. In fact, If you guys are getting considerably more power with your pipes than I am, then that's scary man cause this bike hauls. |
