Well it's set. I'll be leaving Atlanta the weekend of June 18th. I got the truck rented this Morning and it's a done deal. (Glitch you can start your countdown now if you'd like ) Thanks Kdan- Now I'll have one less boat to hassle with in the move I sure will miss the Twisties of N. GA but I have to keep in mind all the beautiful riding I'll have in my 'new' backyard. |

I should sue for copyrigh infringement.... Good to see you also David, but employment is highly over-rated. Spent today in PTC visiting old friends, now in Miami terminal on the way to Manaus. Three weeks of drinking is hard to take for an old guy, but it does pay the bills. whiney today ain't I? |

HULLEY, THE FIRST TIME YOU EVER RIDE FASTER THAN ME WILL BE THE LAST. THE ONLY TIME I HAVE EVER LET YOU PASS ME WAS WHEN I KNEW Y0UR SORRY, LONELY A$$ WAS TRYING TO CATCH UP TO A GIRL THAT YOU HAVE NO CHANCE ON GETTING. YOU DIDNT EVEN KNOW YOUR BIKE COULD WHEELIE IN FIRST GEAR UNTIL YOU SAW ME DO IT. IM NOT SAYING IM THE FASTEST THING IN THE WORLD, BUT YOU ARE JUST SLOW. IF YOUR HEAD WASNT SO BIG, YOU MIGHT BE MORE AERODYNAMIC. I RIDE MY BIKE. YOU RIDE YOUR BIKE TO MEET ME FOR DINNER. "HEY STEVE, COME TO THE VORTEX WITH ALL OF US THIS WEEK" ~CHRIS. "NO MAN, I HAVE TO GO HOME AND LET MY DOG OUT" ~STEVE. THERES ALWAYS AN EXCUSE. . DONT BE A BUTT HULL. OK, ENOUGH HULLEY BASHING. YES I DID FIND OUT THAT THE R'S WERE FASTER THAN THE S'. I SPENT ALL THIS DAMN MONEY ON THE D&D AND THE RACE ECM, AND CHARLIES BIKE FEELS ALOT MORE TORQUEY. IM PISSED. WE WILL FIND OUT THE PROBLEM THIS WEEKEND WHEN WE SWAP PIPES. I DONT KNOW WHO LOOKED UGLIER IN THAT PIC AT THE TEX, ME, OR CHARLIE. ANYWAYS, I HAD A GREAT TIME UNTIL I GOT RAINED ON, ON THE WAY HOME. I CANT WAIT TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN NEXT WEEKEND. IM GOING RIDING THIS WEEKEND. YOU WANNA GO STEVE?, OR DO YOU HAVE TO STAY HOME AND TAKE CARE OF THE DOG????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? |

I've signed up to be a part of that "Paraplegic-to-be" Yahoo group... the ideas blows me away, but these folks claim to want to be paraplegic!! So I started posting as one of the wanna bes. The moderator e-mailed me asking if i had ever considered how to become a para for real... here is my reply: (I also posted this) Have I ever thought about how to become a para?,,,,,,, Of course I've thought about it. To be honest I did it. T12. Seven months now. I joined your group to try to give some perspective to what seemed to be a group of people who probably do not know the reality of what they're thinking about or just being silly. But you are the only one active here... or is everyone embarrassed to post and ya'll go back and forth via e-mail because someone like me might be paying attention. If you really wanted it you'd do it... you would. Folks self-mutilate... cut limbs and digits off all the time... sex- changes... It happens because of the way folks feel. Only about 1% of us with an SCI brought it on with a plan, because it'a big/ permanent deal. It's scarier than cutting a limb off. Do you really know all that is involved with an SCI paralysis... or do you just like the peripheral aspects of paraplegia... the equipment and attention. If you truely want it... do it... it may make you feel normal ... the way nature intended. Here's an Idea: when you go to get out of bed in the morning... don't... just lay there with your ankles crossed. do not shift. now stay like that until the tissue on your ankle dies... now be patient 'cause the tissue around your sacrum is dieing too. You do not need to be there long to earn a skin flap... when you're a real para it most often happens in your sleep... you, on the other hand, will hurt for an hour or two before going numb. Still don't move for another couple hours... you'll earn your flap. A pressure soar must be at stage 3 to earn your flap so be patient. If this sounds good, it's a great time to be paralyzed. How about bowel and bladder maintenance. I posted about it... no reply. here do this: eat only red meat and cheese for a week or two while minimizing your fluid intake. You should get good and backed up (don't wait for impaction 'cause it will be too much work for your first time). Now, after the third day of "no go", put finger in your for 20 minutes twirling it around (act like you can't feel it). This will stimulate a peristalses that will not be denied. As your meat and cheese makes it's way to the portal, you may need to break it up to get it out. Use lots of lube 'cause the area is very vascular... so bleeding is not uncommon. Is this what you've been denied in life? Are you missing out?... jump in, the water is...well it dosen't matter... you wont feel it. crippled as you wanna be how are you going to do it? Check it out 3%ers: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Paraplegic-To-Be/messages (Message edited by torqer on April 30, 2005) |

Torqer I can not express how great it was to see you and especially standing... Great work!!!!! Self mulitation in the forms we are talking about is just WRONG!!!!!! The permanent nature of removing a limb or intentionally causing your own paralysis I find incredibly stupid and ununderstandable..... |

Wow... I guess I dropped a bomb there. Sorry deadman if that was too much. Todd: It was great to see you. I've been looking forward to seeing everyone, but especially the folks who saw me in the hospital. Ya'll are the ones who will recognize the amount I've progressed. I feel confident I'll beat this mother. As for the strange folks in the world, while I don't understand either.... I guess it takes all kinds. |

Yes, more then a bit strange, but I can see how these ever so strange acts and thoughts would bring your response. I had hoped to be able to make it by the dealership today, but I spent more time working on homework than I thought I was going to today. Hopefully next week I'll be able to stop by before you head home. |

I wanted to say "THANKS" to A4TR, New12r, Buell666 and Dallas, for being so encouraging and supportive. A lot of good advice and calming suggestions helped me BLAST the twisties for the first time. You guys are great and if I wasn't already riding a Buell, I would be now just to hang with you guys. } |
