Hello all. You have another newbie on your hands... My Name is Grant and I have had my Buell for about a month now. Taking my odometer from 10 up to 1268 miles so far has been quite an experience! I bought an 02 X1 White from Stubbs Cycles in Houston, TX with Zero miles. Yup, it was the X1 White on eBay about 2 months back. I low balled, held my ground and they ended up caving (that’s how I like to look at it). Took me a while to get it, but now I am pumped and riding every day. My older bro has an 01 M2L and after riding it while visiting at Christmas, I was sold. Love it. He also works for a Buell/HD shop up in Seattle and my parents ride an 03 Heritage so the Fam wouldn’t have appreciated me showing up on anything else… but never the less, I am happy with my purchase. I have already received a warm welcome from the gang at the SCAB meeting which was a lot of fun and I look forward to the rides to come. I am still in the process of getting all my essentials gear wise, but after that, I have a lot of future mods planned for the X1. Already have some questions, but I will try to post them in the appropriate areas. Cheers to all of you and look forward to many good miles ahead. -Grant Van Weerdhuizen, Huntington Beach, CA |

Wilkommen! Ah it warms the cockles of my heart to see another smitten with the Buell disease. By the way, there is no cure. The only known treatment is to purchase more BUELLS! HaHHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHa CM |

Dolzinnig, I still get excited every time I ride my M2 out of the garage. Plus the fact I wake everyone within a 5 mile radius doesn't hurt matters either! |

Very nice, always figured one day I might get an X1 or S1 just to own it. We'll see how my college goes first. Besides, got an XB9SX to play with. |

Blackbelt, I like the powdercoat job! Very nice. I am going to take my time changing things... (who am I kidding?) Dsergison, The salesman told me it generated no interest in Texas. They actually had Three '02 M2's, Two '02 X1's and Two '00 X1's. All with Zero miles. I think he got rid of most of them but they still might have a couple. In my search, I also located an '02 M2 with 0 miles in Michigan, but the guy insulted me on the phone. Took my business elsewhere. Cyclonemaniac - My bro's M2 is loud too. His neighbor called his landlord on him to complain about the noise. The landlord told her "If its too loud, you are too old" and hung up. Thanks to everyone who said hello. See you on the battlefield. |
