Dont know if this is too much of an all encompassing question but I will try anyway. Is there a motorcycle boot out that I can use for track days (and will be safety approved by the tracks) but is also comfortable enough and durable enough to just wear as an everyday riding/walking boot when I am out and about? Is this too much to ask for in a boot? Thanks for the help. John | ||

This not as easy as you would think. I wear a Georgia Boot camoflaged hunting boot because it is Gortex lined and supposed to be waterproof. Unfortunately they are lace ups. They are very comfortable when walking for long periods of time which I've found most biker boots are not.They don't look all that good though. Biker boots should also have an angled heel so not catch on things and they should have a reinforced patch under the shifter lever which few do in addition to being Gortex lined and waterproof. I use Sidi B One boot. It has armor for track days but looks more like a "normal" riding boot. I like mine a lot. Although the next pair might have more armor, since I will be doing more track days in the future. But if you get one boot for everything. This is what I would get again. | ||

I have used Sidi Tepor boots for the last year and they have the armor and are comfortable on the street. I like these boots enough to buy another pair if and when needed even at the higher cost of Sidi. | ||

i picked up a pair of the icon super duty boots, they feel great for everyday, they make a good work boot and are pretty stylish as well as comfortable. they cost me $80.00 they're sized very small, i had to get a size bigger than i normally wear.  | ||

The Sidi B Ones or Sidi Vertebrae boots are the best - They have lotsa flexion in the ankle and are extremely comfortable. The B Ones do have some armor - but look more normal than the Vertebrae, which have a lot more armor on them. Check out www.newenough.com They have Sidi boots on clearance - you will get a hell of a price for them AND they will ship them out same day. (shipping isn't too expensive, either) | ||

I picked up some Hein Gericke boots from New Enough too. They are an excellent all around boot. I'm not sure if track day boots have to have the steel shank in them or not, but the boots that I have would probably do just fine. |
