now that i have put a few hours in the saddle of my streetfighter i must say what a huge improvement over the sx seat! you would think with extra foam in the sx seat it would provide some extra comfort, not true for me. so any of you guys thinkin about the extra padding providing a little more comfort. don't waste your money.not to mention the fact that the streetfighter looks so much better! and your butt will thank you for it. mike |

After my first 2-hour long ride, I started thinking about different seats. Where do you get the streetfighter seat? Thanks, Bill |

How does the seat height of the "Streetfighter" seat compare to the "lower" seat on the XB12Scg ??? Is it (Streetfighter) lower or the same height as a stock 9 or 12 seat ??? Anyone know ??? Thanks, EE |

Actually, the Buell Streetfighter is a 'tad' taller than the stock 12s seat. I have a stock 12s, a Streetfighter, and a 'Low' seat. I'll be glad to answer any questions. -Brad p.s. I run with the Streetfighter |

"Actually, the Buell Streetfighter is a 'tad' taller than the stock 12s seat" So it's safe to assume that the Streetfighter seat is noticeably taller than the "low" (cg) seat ??? Thanks, EE} (Message edited by eexb on April 15, 2005) |

So it's safe to assume that the Streetfighter seat is noticeably taller than the "low" (cg) seat ??? YES. And definitely MUCH more comfortable. |

Every Buell seat is lower than the CityX seat. I prefer the ridge at the back of the rider position that the CityX doesn't offer. The X seat is just plain flat! |

Just got a Corbin for my 03 XB9SL and it is really nice and comfortable. A bit taller than the stock SL seat, but I'm hoping it will give in a bit. Just my $.02 Kaveman |

Oh, you have to post pics, Kaveman! The Corbin is my next seat as well! I want it a bit customized, though. -Brad |

How much was the streetfighter seat? After a couple of weeks of riding the cityx, I agree with the sore butt issue.. I really miss the M2 seat with the gel insert. Ken |

Hey now, don't go dissin my CityX seat... With a tailbag attached to the back ($9 at walmart, and some creative use of velcro and propane torches) you get the "ridge". I find the seat more comfortable then my Cyclone was, both for short and long rides. But my typical riding position gets a lot of weight on my legs. And I love being able to look straight forward and right over the top of most sport ute's. It might matter on height. I am a tall fellow, so anything I loose in seat height would translate to a lot of discomfort in other places. |

I just installed a Streetfighter on my SX. Man what a difference. I'm 5'8 and when I had the stock seat on, I was really tippy-toeing at a stop. The streetfighter made a difference, albeit an inch closer to the ground. I would definitely recommend the streetfighter. Only took about a week and a half to get in from the dealership since it is a vendor direct item. |

Wifey got me the Streetfighter seat for my anniversary present [with Daves' help, of course]. I prefer it to the stock CityX seat, but the seat to peg distance is a little reduced meaning more bend in the knees [okay...so I'm not a young guy anymore]. It was also a bit easier to slide off the stock seat in the corners....well I mean.... not completely.... you know! |

Kaveman - when you post your pic - also list where you got it and how long it took to get it, and if you got it customized...how much $ and time did that add? also, if there's anyway that you could measure height difference from the low seat - that would be great! thx D (Message edited by buellgirlie on April 18, 2005) |

Here's two quick pics I snapped today of the Corbin. Bought it DIRECT from Corbin, they have a Website, gave em' a call. $219 + Shipping... It Arrived within one week, after I was quoted 2-3 weeks for build and delivery. Maybe a slow week there? I'd say it's maybe an inch higher than the SL Seat and I think after riding it a while it'll sink a bit. Anyway here they are... Kaveman |
