Can I ask about the quality of service at a specific HD dealer on this forum? Or is that considered out-of-line? It is on some m/c forums. Tim |

my dealership threw in the first two check-ups with the purchase of the bike. but i think the 5k mile one will run me about $250 and i think it includes an oil change. i do synthetic oil and i think its around $35, but i could be wrong. actually... i think itraded in the free hour on the dyno for the second check-up... |

I bought a Honda Shadow Spirit 750 new a couple of years ago and my first checkup was around $250. After that visit I bought the service manual and did all the maintenance and repair my self. Bought my XB9R used and do all the work myself. |

My first dealer visit at 1000 miles cost me 350$ That was basicly for an oil change. Do yourself a favor and spend the 60$ on a service manual then the only time u have to visit the stealer is for tps resets. (Or you could spend an extra 300$ and buy a scantool and do them yourself ((and your freinds)),and NEVER have to deal with the stealership again. |
