I know its been done before, There use to be A picture in the archives. I can`t remember whose bike it was. But it looks like they cut down the cam cover to get the pipe to fit. Just wondering what else was involved. I thought it gave the S1 A distinctive look, And i`m thinking of trying it on my S1.

The cam cover doesn't need to be cut down the rear pipe however will need to be modded to fit under the fram.

Peter Moltman from Over the pond Is the one I think did it.

If you do a search for PPIA you should be able to find his profile

Pete did it to enable fitting of an Aerocharger, though I'm sure he'll tell you in more detail himself soon enough.

Thats the bike I just couldn`t remember who owned it. That is one nice S1, just need A little info
on how it was done. It doesn`t look like the pipes were cut. Maybe Peter will post some details.

Well I sent him a header to cut up a couple of years ago and I'm pretty sure that's what he did.

I've seen him mig a header or three too. The Fireman will attest to Pete's pipping skills I'm sure.

As Sean said, the first one I made used parts of his crashed race header, and parts from two other Buell headers, but I wasn't happy with the welds as the dirty pipes caused contamination in them, so made a second turbo version.
When the turbo came off, I modified Aaron's old Force pipe from his '99 M2 to fit behind the frame of the S1W, and modified the outlet to fit a Wileco muffler.
Just to keep the neighbours happy ; )
